Since it obviously doesn't sync the block chain locally wouldn't that be good enough to act as a shell to allow Counterpartyd to run

The protocol spec. is about to get updated. The code is the best reference for the moment, however.

Hey dexX7 - glad to see you taking an interest. Indeed, the progress made by the CounterParty devs is impressive - next major step is a lightweight webwallet since it takes far too much tech knowledge for even your average bitcoiner to run the wallet today.

I like the enthusiasm, but I'm going to hold off on voting for getting XCP added to any exchanges. Until there's an easy to install GUI wallet and/or web wallet available then there's no point in advertising something that just isn't technically feasible for 90% of the users who lack linux or cli experience.

Give it another month - if XCP goes down in value between now and then, great - buy some more on the DEX.

Should I make an easy install/instructional program/aide that allows user to have a walkthrough/semi-auto install process to guide them through the installation ? Maybe make it easier for some users until we get a lightweight GUI or web wallet ?

I am continually impressed by the activity and drive of this community.
255+ pages and counting!

I would also like to announce another donation to JahPowerBits Development fund from user Bellebite2014 for a whopping .3 BTC!
I will be including a custom theme of his choosing for him as thanks.

A quick update; After some consideration and reworking of the system I've implemented a fully customizable color theme selector instead of set color theme selections.
This will allow a greater deal of customization to the wallet.

You can now modify any element of the interface to the color of your choosing to create your own (flat) theme utilizing color selectors. If you want a graphical theme of your design included in the final release feel free to donate to JahPowerBit!

Theres a small bug in my code but I'm gonna leave that to JahPowerBit to sort out when hes got a moment.

In the meanwhile I have some custom graphical themes to do.

I will be posting some screenshots here for them over the next day or so.

JahPowerBit has some great plans for this wallet including making it a blockchain-less client so you don't have to download 12GB of crap. Unfortunately time is something he doesn't have much of so we need to buy him some free time!

Supporting our Devs is the single most beneficial thing you can do for your investments.

Unless we get stalled on the GUI or web wallets, I would say it's not worth it - it might feel like forever, but waiting a few weeks for the new wallets is better, IMO.
