i suggest to start a new selfmoderated thread with updated links.
the old OP is more than outdated and can't be edited because the dev seems to be busy with other projects.
we could also kick out the bots and nonsens posters to keep things more tidy.

what do you guys think?

That's a hard one.  If we can't redirect people from here, then that will just confuse people.  The bots/spammers will overwhelm any redirect thread we can make if we're not able to lock this thread.  There a way we can take control?  Appeal to a mod?

Okay guys, cards on the table.  I need to come up with at least $1000 by the end of the month.  I got some NDL to sell/trade.  Any offers? feel free to PM me.
no extra coins to invest left at the moment, buddy...
maybe try to catch a freelancer job in your field?

me also I don't have free money at the moment, since mid of august i am full in again in altcoins with fresh money and will buy further in future dips.
No time for love.

I also did think about that and I think you are damn right. And it should be easy to solve some of the conjunct problems, too.

Lets get rid of some s***.

Would it be possible for us to become the controllers of this thread? Or is it programmed such that that is not possible wo the OP's permission?

you can just fork the project and start your own new thread. you may link to the old original post for reference.
i think it is only fair since the original dev is absent.

Reply from Atomic Wallet:

Listing NDL coin on Atomic Wallet:

Hi Layer!

Thank you for the request to Atomic Wallet!
My name is Zoia, I’m a partnership manager in Atomic.

The basic condition for the new blockchain integration is 7BTC.
The price includes listing to the wallet with the function «Changelly and ShapeShift exchange» if you’ve already listed on these services.

The Atomic wallet team put on hold the listing on Atomic Swap, because the number of new users has sharply increased. We have to concentrate on quality of current services. Now available only the listing on Atomic Wallet.

If the price is ok for you could you please provide more technical information? Do you have Blockchain explorer with API  for obtaining account balances and transactions history? Do you use a public node for sending Raw signed transaction?

Please find the attached presentation.

Best regards

SELL: 20,000,000 NDL @ 0.7 Satoshi = 0.14 BTC

or for any other similar tradeable altcoin (ETH, DOGE, etc)

let me see what i can afford to lose on this investment.
i know you did some work for the wallet and coughed up the developers bounty.
how much in total did you spend on the wallet update?

TBH, I didn't cough up anything.  I offered to, several times, but had no takers.  I even offered the original Dev 400 Mill NDL to return to the project (to which I received no response).  I had to spend many hours figuring it out and doing it myself.  I appreciate the "let me see what I can do".  Though, I'm not asking anyone to ...sacrifice for me.  I'm looking for a fair trade (or at least close to it).  If you have a counter offer that you feel would make it fair to you, I'm open to it.  And I'm definitely not limiting myself to only 20Mil NDL to trade or seeking only 0.14 BTC worth of currencies, that's just one of the minimums I was trying for.  I mentioned my...need for such to let you guys know that you can probably get a nice deal out of it right now, because if something changes for me, then that deal will no longer be out there.

Yeah.  Idk what it is right now, but I think cryptopia wasn't that much more, I think it was around 60k USD.

Animecoin (ANI) was previously such a coin.  Hell, even dogecoin is arguably that.  What i'd really like to see is something like what Animecoin is in the process of doing; add something novel and useful to add to its value.

as mentioned before, a DEcentralized Dexchange would be more cool and noodlier

Hey what's up?

I've been down this road a bit -- and wanted to share the following.
NoodlyAppendageCoin will need to do a network upgrade in order to participate in DEX.

Basically, the v0.10.4 Bitcoin code gets the job done as it brings SuperMajority for BIP 66 and BIP 65.

It is BIP 65 which enables DEX.

Spent a few hours looking into this.  Its not simple.  I'm concerned that such modifications may exceed my abilities.  It looks like its best to just start over again with a litecoin wallet and built it back up for NDL.

OMFG, this is so funny!  While trying to modify a litecoin wallet, I had to research the genesis block of NDL, here it is:

You're on the right track.

Though if you're planning to rebase, going to v0.10.4 is definitely not aiming high.
You'll want at least v0.13.0 where the internal miner is removed so that anti-virus software doesn't flag the wallet and delete it on people.

I have now spent several hours trying to modify the newest litecoin wallet into an NDL wallet.  In some ways its easier than I expected, in others, its not.  I think it's going to be quite the project, unfortunately.  I'm not sure I've really got the time for it, but we'll see.  I would have preferred to use an old version of the litecoin wallet (as the most recent wallet I compiled is litecoin based), but if I'm going to have to go through a lengthy process, might as well just do everything that needs to be done to make the wallet worthwhile, right?  This will likely require a hard fork though and, depending on the complexity, may require changing some of the parameters (such as eliminating the whole "triple mining rewards once a week" thing).

The code is not horrible.

By altcoin standards, it is actually pretty recent code from the 0.8 branch.

What is needed is a new checkpoint and seednodes built into the wallet.

Was looking through old posts; with the NDL wallet I released a few months ago I got the checkpoints done at least Wink

It all gets complicated when you're trying to do it right.
    Seriously, lots of moving parts.

You shouldn't need a hard fork to prove your updated wallet is working right.
The actual protocol compatibility in leaving consensus parameters the same is one way you can validate your new wallet is working correctly.

For example, let's suppose you pick an updated Litecoin branch and start adding in the NoodlyAppendageCoin coin parameters.
The first test would be seeing the new wallet sync with the network successfully and to be able to verify blocks using the same rules.

After that is just right, then you can erect / use the testnet to prove for any changes to the subsidy rules or difficulty adjustment which would necessitate a hard fork.

Just use GitHub and make small commits for one issue at a time as you're working through it.
Then we can see what you've done and help make it work.

Best Regards,
-Chicago

I've been fiddling with the litecoin wallet and had set some BIP checkpoints at 1300000, so maybe I inadvertently facilitated that fork on accident while testing, idk.  I doubt it.  Which fork has the most work?
