Being a successful pool, some group of basterds are ddosing or brute forcing accounts again.

Yes, pool goes on and off again. There is now an announcment of brute force attacks.

Seriously, all you whiners (yes, you know who you are!) in this thread that can't stop posting about their lost coins and how the evil pool opps stole their hard earned crypto's and the whole world is against them and shit. If you all didn't set the lowest possible auto payout limit and adress to payout to immediately upon creating your account, you are total idiots that deserve to lose everything.

Ffs have you even kept up with this thread over the last 24 hours apart from whining? Have you seen the absurd jumps in GH/s on the network and difficulty going up from under 10 to 125+ some moments in only a matter of hours? Have you maybe noticed that already at least 3 multipools with well over 10gh/s in total have added 42? Do you even look at the pool lists to see huge farms with between 40 to 75 mh/s per user jumping on and off (and not 1 but like 10 at a time)? What do you think happens to the network under that strain? What do you think happens to a lot of those pools that an hour before were dealing with like 350mh/s when suddenly 3gh/s jumps on them? Not even mentioning that it looks like there are huge coordinated attacks happening on a lot of these pools when serious trading starts. We have seen this with several coins in the last weeks as well.

You wanted this coin to be popular, you wanted it on cryptsy, you wanted it so you could make a quick buck. Well you should have been expecting all off this (it's not like we haven't seen this like 20 times over the past month alone) and maybe be happy that it not got worse.

Now find a new coin that's still a little under the radar and try your luck again, this time take precautions.

Sorry, /rant off now but these guys annoy the fuck out of me.

yup; it happens, and is freaking annoying. I can't believe why people are attacking the pools. They can better mine coins instead Smiley

i have a strong password, and different PIN for each account, but i am worried that auto payout hasn't occured since approx 1:43am for me and i am now owed ~7hrs mining, i did try logging in this morning but got sql errors. My concern is that my account could have been compromised (sql hacking) and if that has happened, my 7hrs of mining credit has been given to some malicious tosser.

how bad is it? Will my mining coins, dents, still be accessible?

@myrinx
I had decent threshold that should have triggered every 4 hours.  Yet it never did, and when I went to manual cash out.  The site went down 10 min later, and never processed the payout and then came back saying create a new account.

Do you want to go back and get your so called backup you said you had and pay back everyone.  Or you want to just dodge the whole topic act like its no big deal.  And continue to collect.

http://42.pooljunkie.nl/

just took my coins and ran away

i had 1300 dents there  Cry

Yep, suddenly my account and username don't work anymore. Glad I didn't have too much stuck in there anymore.

I had to make a fresh server install after not being able to get in the old one (so far). I obviously have the backup of the server and the database and am trying to recover the damage.

Set auto payouts in pools always to the lowest amount possible (we had it at 100 dents).

Waiting for the backup to be restored to get are coins back ..........

He sounds like the guy from pooljunkie trying to dump his stolen coins, he has the same type of broken odd speech with random sayings.

Dude; why would i steal your coins? What's in it for me? Getting the few coins that people did set not auto payout for 1-2btc max; or risking my entire rep for all the pools we run? No thanks. I'm in this for the long run; not for a lousy 1000$, sorry.

With the 0,0004 42 that sat in the wallet; i can no way manipulate the market.

It just mean again and again that EVERYBODY should ALWAYS set auto-payouts to their local trusted wallet for the threshold that they can afford. Don't see mining pools as your bank account. The software is to new to trust completely; the stratum software is new; this whole crypto world is new... Things happen; and we learn from it. I learn from it; everybody learns from it.

If we really stole the coins; why would 550 people be back on the pool; why would we even pay out coins; why would we bother interacting with users? No man; i feel bad and i'm working my ass of getting that wallet back.

is this means you lost the fucking dam wallet with our coins in it or what?

Expect bigger dips and swings with this coin because of how much it is speculated to be worth.
Dips and swings are common in the coin world. Be a man and make your decision instead of beibg so indecisive.

I'm going to hold though.

That's 9 decimal places, maybe a typo but it can't exist. 0.00000001 is the lowest possible value if I understand correctly. So lowest valid payout would be 0.00000001

So I don't think that is correct. Only your total account balance counts towards payout (be it manual or auto). If that exceeds the tx fee, you will get a payout (so with 0.00000001 tx fee, the smallest value that will trigger a payout is 0.00000002 of which you will get 0.00000001). However poolfee could result in you ending up with nothing since all your earned credtis go towards the poolfee. I have not seen a poolfee being deducted on pooljunkie in the last day but that might be because it calculates % and finds that 1% of 0.00000099 or lower is too small to charge.

cryptopools had a big ddos. someone has been redirecting traffic aimed at baidu at the pool to ddos it. they also ensured that the connection to the server wasn't closed properly so to essentially kill MySQL due to so many connections. ive now fixed this and enabled payouts

ALL PAYOUTS ON CRYPTOPOOLS ENABLED!(when you can access the site/ddos stops)
