Arghh. I worked my ass off to pupm the price up a little (that last 410 -> 470 was mostly me but I gave up to go any higher).
I didn't really realize any net profit above some 0.0x BTC, so it didn't really worth the effort/rishk for me personally but somebody might benefited from it.

Dragging it to 500 now Wink thanks for the leg work Janos Smiley

I've stopped mining doge for 42 (just 5% of my hashrate in doge) and hope that I havn't made a mistake !

I believe in this coin and don't want to make fast cash but want to promote it.

For example i've got a mmorpg with a cash shop and i'm starting to speak that i wanted to add crypto to pay us. (each transaction is 40-50 euros).

The biggest problem is that people prefers to take their paypal/Credit card even if i made a 20% discount with taking crypto.

Not enough people trust crypto and some people must have to do the first step.

Hello Devs,

Multipools are killing this coin.
Better try adding kimoto gravity well to the code, to avoid further collapses.

You just gave me an idea. What about a coin which has feature like that: Difficult level never decreases - it can be only higher.

Its doable. But it could leave the coin hanging. This would be detrimental to the use of the coin as it might leave blocks taking hours or days to confirm.

Damn bought in on cryptsy at 916, couldn't get online til recently and saw the price changes. Shocked   hopefully it does recover. seems super speculative. sucks to drop to less than half though. I think this coin has alot more intrigue and neatness than many that have survived so far. I like it, so I suppose I will hold until there is a nice spike, or let my investment die with the coin. I have a feeling it will recover though. If anyone feels like contributing some 42 dents to my tiny pile, feel free. 4LBanYrGB6sVDNbKmWnthZ46DoMXxRcBqJ   Smiley     or if ya have any alts on cryptsy laying around, ill trade em for 42 while its low Cheesy

this kind of up and down, wildly speculative environment can make cryptos nerve wracking, but it is also part of the fun ^^

On the way to ya. Don't spend it all in one place, oh wait, I take that back, spend it all on 42. Wink

Thats not going to be a issue i guess Hendo. The real miners wants a steady coin and doesnt want to cash out immediately.
So, there's no other way rather than adopting such gravity codes to keep the coins value from a free fall and also the rarity of the coin can be maintained.
You can make the miners understand that their energies aren't goin to be wasted by any means, but to wait wait for a few more days to get their coins confirmed.
Think about it.

You're right. It must be some more complicated algorithm. Maybe diff re-target in 1 or 2 blocks, estimated diff change divided by X, where X is some variable value based on earlier behavior of net (hashrate, number of found blocks in specified period, number of transactions)? Final number of coins 10% +/- changing every year? There must be many coins, but not too many, something like 10 million. Changing (decreasing) reward. It must be enough fast (42 seconds are ok!) and very simple - try compile at start electrum-like wallet. Make it simple by making it more flexible to the circumstances. Maybe even manage the block reward dependent on some sort of Monetary Policy Council: if the price is too low - block reward will be halved to stop the inflation, and when the price is too high - block reward is duplicated to keep stable price.
And the name must be catchy! Something what will really attract people. Something what will never be killed by fashion or other factors.

Who is promoting the 42 coin.

I have notice that only small group of miner know about this coin. If not even listed on the ALT CRYPTOCURRENCY NEW COINS  (HENDO420-MACO) ?

I am two weeks into my 42 mining journey and I am becoming concerned, I would like some opinions from more experienced cryptologists miners.

My concerns are with the community:

I don't mind crapcoins I just do not mine them or buy them if I dub them so.

I don't mind coins with controversial names, it brings attention to the crypto community.

I am by all mean I have faith in this 42COIN.

So may I ask what, if anything can be done to stop the community from destroying itself because the scams are increasing exponentially, which over time will degrade trust in a coin like 42 .

Of course the easy answer is do not mine it, but what happens in six months if all coins are released in this manner?

But the 42 community is going to Hell in a handbasket, if we do not support hendon420 and maco in the task of promoting the 42 coin.  I stood on the shoulders of these  two guys  which provided us a great coin to look me forward.

This is changing rapidly, its going downhill.

Discuss.... PLEASE BE POSITIVE AND SUPPORT THIS 42 COIN.

PS: I´m only a poor miner that really believe in this coin.

Thanks. Grin Grin Grin
