Possible that the appleminer simply cant handle getwork and uses stratum only - why solo mine anyway? Join a pool Smiley

Unless you got your own private farm of course Cheesy

Use the miners linked to in the OP.  They work in solo or pooled mode.

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE

Today I moved stats.cachecoin.org and explorer.cachecoin.org to a new dedicated server - so things should be faster now - especially the explorer.

At the same time I fixed some issues with the explorer and added top 100 address to the stats
http://stats.cachecoin.org/charts/top100

Also very exciting news:

Since the hashrate is increasing and CACHeCoin is all about distributing hashrate so its equally among the network, I've created another p2pool node that can be reached under

http://cache.cryptoprojects.eu:8336/static/

It has a clean and slick interface - so please also use my node (All fees go back into development of the pages and the network)

Yeah I'm in the top 100  Grin
I'm definitely gonna try out your p2pool mrpj

Edit: question about getting stake coins and its timer.. Is the timer only running when wallet is running? When wallet is closed does the timer a) pause, or b) reset, or c) it's not a timer it's a time stamp that are cmp with a GPS clock?

Change...is in the air.

Yeah some more workers for the p2pool - also working on a port of mpos for cachecoin

About your question:
For staking your wallet has to be open - best is to stake with higher stake size - i.e. atleast recommended is about 20-50 CACH ;-)

About how - kalgecin has to answer

The coins will continue to mature when the wallet is closed.  Once you open the wallet and there are mature coins available you will get an opportunity to POS.

Today is the day of good news  Wink

Finally another pool is up to distribute the hashrate more evenly

http://cachepool.cryptoprojects.eu/

Feel is currently set to 0.5% - I will keep a close eye on the pool and as always will improve the pool software even further

Help to distribute the network more evenly and join this pool now :-)

EDIT:
Please distribute your hashrate a bit more - right now we have 3 pools up and running, but only p2p and catcoin are used- providing 51% attack possibilities

Disagreed. P2Pool is the best way to avoid 51% attacks, dont say that.

If you want a healthy coin, mine P2Pool! http://q30.qhor.net:8337/

For an incentive - everyone who mines at the pool for atleast 24hours will receive a bonus payment tomorrow night!

Great to see that another pool is alive and kicking, but I really think you should reconsider what P2Pool actually is before scaremongering like that..

P2pool currently consist of 4 public nodes, being run by 4 people (and apparently there are also 6 non-public nodes). Then we have two traditional pools (my pool and mr.pj's pool) and I guess we still have a bunch of solo miners.

My estimates on current hashrate distribution:
cach.catcoin.cz - 28%
cachepool.cryptoprojects.eu - 2% (a while ago, now it seems to be under maintenance)
all public p2pool nodes combined - 30% (Sy's node does have about 70% of the entire p2pool hashrate though, 21% of total hashrate)
invisible "dark matter" - 40% (solo miners, probably large mining farms able to operate outside pools, perhaps also non-public pool nodes)

Not really risk of someone getting 51% soon.

I'll wait how many people (if any) will leave my pool and go to mr.pj's pool.
If my pool will stay close to 30% of total hashrate, or even goes over it, I'll set the fee back to 1% from current 0.5% - maybe this will ensure a bit more even distribution of the hashrate, as then my fees and p2pool fees would be the same.

Thank you for digging deeper - earlier today the p2pool network was consisting of less hash-rate and the "grey-matter" did not appear.

cach.catcoin.cz ist a great pool and in the beginning i have been mining over there, but since we are lacking pools I decided to open up another one so we can evenly distribute the hashrate.

When accounting p2pool has to be seen as one pool - even though there are different nodes, for an attack vector it is just "one" pool.

Happy mining guys!

PS: Kalgecin can you add
http://cachepool.cryptoprojects.eu
and
http://cache.cryptoprojects.eu:8336/static/

to the Op? Thanks

Got the answer and it's c. it's not a timer, it's a time stamp.

Are you using the proper version of cgminer ?
CACHeCoin requires a different miner
