why in the hell did you remove the 5/10 and 10/20 HU tables?  I played them daily.. please put them back otherwise i really have no reason to continue playing on seals.  I was building a bitcoin roll with these and am not ready to move up to 25/50... rake is low enough that the 5/10 and 10/20 games are perfectly fine.. Horrible decision...

Sorry, I went on a cleaning frenzy after I turned on the new "open-table" page. But right now it is set to only work for players with 10k krill until I set up another way to avoid abuse. I'll open them back now.

He was asking which tournament you were playing, but you didn't even say it was a tournament.

There is a 5BTC freeroll tournament tonight at 10:30pm ET, absolutely free. You probably won't win, but you can't lose ;-)

I'm guessing this isn't listed yet, correct?  I don't see it on the site yet.

Right, it will be open soon.

Those two HU tables are open again.

The link for opening tables is https://sealswithclubs.eu/open-tables/

If you don't see a 2 or 9 player table of any stakes or type of game you want up there jeust email admin@sealswithclubs.eu or post here. I will be adding tons over the next few days since we have plenty of room now.

There will be one for SNGs open soon. That page will require you have enough chips to play the game you choose and will register you for the game. So make sure you unregister (in the software like normal) before leaving. There will be a warning on that page when it opens.

squall, i've felt like that at times on every poker site i've ever played on.  seals is legit tho imo

Actually this has not crossed my mind.....Untill now, How do you know this? you either have to be part of the team or your sitting with a fat wad in your account, I was a bit hasty and upset when I last posted, I had just gone through 2600 chips in under 2 days (on small tables 2/4 3/6) I even got a poker friend (pro) to come over and watch my play, He was astonished, Without fail every pocket good pair I had, All would fold before I even bet. Are their any patches to see other players cards? I would feel safer if someone tryed to see if this is possible.

As I say i was a little pissed off, I will come back, I just fail at everything I do.

Hmm. That's a little odd. I think I will take the fact that I lost my money before I even got to play as a blessing.  Smiley

Re: Whoops Special Freeroll

So in the Donkdown Freeroll last night, those of us seated at Table 11 ran into some glitch where our table froze at the start of the tourney and was locked up for the duration while the rest of the tables played on normally. There were well over a hundred players, I believe. Basically, those of us on Table 11 were shut out of the freeroll tourney. The players on our table and I joked around in the table chat, but never complained or asked or demanded any kind of compensation.

Anyway, to make a long story even longer, the Admin on hand, named “SealsWithClubs,” I believe, or something like that (FreeMoney?) did us right and gave the people on Table 11 - the six of us who stuck around/weren’t offline - our very own freeroll with a generous 5 btc gtd prize pool. I didn’t make it in the money unfortunately, but I just wanted to say I was really impressed and really appreciate Seals and whoever was responsible for making this happen.

Prior to the compensatory freeroll, I, along with the other players (I think) hadn’t really expected anything at all since The Donkdown was just a freeroll after all, thinking “Oh well, sucks for me I guess” and had just chalked it up as a weird bad beat.

So yeah, basically I just wanted to say Thanks! That was really f’ing cool of you guys at Seals. Shows Seals really cares about their players imho.

Freemoney does amazing things each and every day and barely anyone except me and a handful of hardcore players ever notice.

As Seals grows, during my show each Wed we have kept the freeroll big enough and consistent enough that everyone looking for a btc handout + all my Donkdown listeners + most our Seals players all pile in at the same time.  It's great value for everyone and helps us test larger than usual tourneys.  The issue is now known and has been passed to the game devs.

#brofist for Freemoney.

Please do not take the following as a criticism, only a critique;

As one of the players that was on the frozen table (table eleven) and one of the six players that was seated at the "Whoops" freeroll, I have to admit, I was a bit confused with all that happened.  There was no acknowledgement of any kind from any admin that there was a problem with the initial table (eleven) we were at.  I tried reloading several times, switched to two different browsers, even a restart, before the table was totally removed from the tournament without any information about what was going on.  I just happened to be still logged in trying to figure out what was wrong when I was suddenly thrown into another tournament with no warning.

I did manage to win the "Whoops Freeroll", and the payout was quite nice, I honestly would have preferred communication as to what was happening, and reinsertion into the main freeroll at the current average chip stack plus 10% or so.  While I applaud the fast reaction, and the attempt to make things "right" for those who were frozen at the main DD tournament, I feel the solution was completely unfair to those other players still at the DD tables.  They had to play against 150+ other players to win a maximum of 1250 chips, I had to play against 5 others to win 3250 chips.  Clearly I had a major advantage over those at the DD tables.

As someone who has played poker for over 20 years, sometimes as my job, I can honestly say I will never like or trust online poker.  I am quite happy to see Seals with Clubs making an attempt to fight back against the quite futile regulations on online gambling, but I feel some changes must be made before most "serious" poker players will ever consider it more than a novelty in a niche market.  There must at all times be an admin online to handle any issues that arise.  There must at all times be a moderator online to monitor the chat system.  (What was going on in the chat last night was less intelligent than the dialog in a home made porn movie.)  There should be a way to report players, whether for suspected collusion, chat spam, abusive language, or anything else.  Adobe Flash is garbage, it is buggy, exploitable, and as I found out, if you set it up to be as secure as possible, it simply doesn't work quite a bit of the time, including with SWC.  Have a custom client built, then have it audited, then have it audited again by someone else, and then do it again.  "Hand for hand" play is a must in multi-table tournaments when nearing certain milestones (payout changes, bubbles, etc), the amount of time bagging going on is ridiculous.

While I will continue to hope that SWC grows and improves, and I support what it is doing, I will never be more then a "casual" player with a maximum of $50 at risk.  There is just to much more out there right now with a superior setup and larger trust base with the simple use of a proxy/VPN.  I wish everyone at SWC the best, and hope to see you at the tables.

This is false.

SealsWithClubs, which I assumed was an admin from what he was saying, gave us multiple updates in the Table 11 chat box within ten minutes or so saying that something was wrong and told us that he was "checking the logs" and trying to find out what was going on, apologizing and telling us that he had never seen this happen in over a year, that he was sending a report to the developers, etc, etc. Maybe you missed it all, idk, but from my standpoint, there was no lack of communication.

Hmm, all I can think is that you missed my communication while you were restarting and switching browsers.

Unfortunately I can't get the exact chat at the table because that was part of the problem with the table, the HH (which contains the chat) was corrupted. But I initially said that I didn't know what was going on but it would be resolved. I tried pausing and restarting the game twice (which showed in chat) then I removed no-shows to see if it would break up the bad table. It removed you all because there was no record of hands at that table. I said that at the table and that I was going to make a new game for you in about 5 minutes. A few minutes later I had the 6 of you who were logged in registered in the new tournament and I said so. Then I started the game.

I made maybe 5-6 comments over 10 minutes and it is conceivable that you would miss them or at least the important ones. I was trying to communicate, but I was also trying to figure out what was going on.

Hand-for-hand is a good idea and I will mention it to the software developer.

Giving money to anyone we chose above what we promised is never unfair. It is our money and we can give it as we like. The players remaining in the main tournament got more value than they were promised anyway since one table of players was eliminated from their game.

That is entirely possible, however I could not even see the chat box at table eleven, all I saw was an empty table.  So if they were trying to communicate there I had no way of seeing it.

So I apologize for saying there was no communication and please do not think that I am not grateful for the quick response to the issue.

Oh! I had no idea.

I saw the chat fine and assumed everyone did. That's a data point worth passing on to the developer too.

So you did not see players avatars either? I saw all 9 sitting out.

At the start of the tourney when we froze, I too tried restarting and when it came back, it was just a totally empty table - no players seated, no avatars, no chat box, no label, no options except the “Leave Table” button in the upper right iirc.

I had to go the Main Lobby > Tournaments > Donkdown > Observe Table > Table 11 and there we all were with our clubs avatars labelled as “offline.” Chat was going, but none of the chat previous to my restarting showing of course.

I never tried the "Observe table" route since as soon as I logged back in it would send me right to the frozen table.  But it was the same thing, just an empty table, nobody seated, and no activity in the chatbox.  That is why I was looking for something in the main server chat, never even occurred to me to try to just observe the table.

if it had even occurred to me that was possible I would have sent popup messages to the players, but since some players were talking back to me I mistakenly assumed the chat was a fine way to communicate. Sorry about that.

Free,

Have you (or can you) pass along the flaw with waiting of BB and how it will skip an orbit if either player on the button or sb the hand before sits outs or leaves? It is the only software issue that I have noticed that needs addressed. Also, thanks for adding the 1-2 PLO8 table, I've seen more action on that than when 2-4 was the smallest game.
