Instead of quoting that that 500 quote thread above. Worse case scenario, you could always use the online wallet? At least that way you have access to your noble directly.

Petition signed.

Wallet syncing questions:

Is it possible (we need a volunteer) to check the clean (after deleting config, nodes, wallet etc.) installation of Windows ZIP packge?
Does the Wallet sync out-of-the box or not?

Questions about wallet syncing are quite often... can we sort it out for good?

I made a total reinstall of my computer 3 days ago, and my wallet was NOT syncing out-of-the-box using the .zip-file. I had to create a .conf-file since it wasn't any in the zip, and then add the nodes I mentioned above manually to get connections to the network.

Would be good to get feedback from more people though.

I've tried just about every addnode on the forums for noble and I cannot get any connections to the network. I'm not sure how to make sure a port is open as I'm sure that is the problem I am having with many of these coins.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Check your firewall? I synch without even a config file at all. No nodes needed.

It is being allowed through the firewall, I have also attempted turning them all off and opening the noblecoin client but I still am unable to connect to any nodes  Cry

Tired of leaving all my noble on exchanges/pools lol

Send them to me I'll hold them for you! Tongue

Seriously though, do you know how to use netstat? You can open a cmd window type netstat -an
Then open another cmd console
Open wallet
then type netstat -an again in the second console and compare the 2 to see what connections are attempted bye the wallet.

Thanks for the help!

I believe 55884 is wallet port so it looks like you are trying to connect to 2 ip's and not getting a connection. Yes syn_sent means your system sent a handshake to that port on that address and is waiting on a response.

I just pinged both of those ip's and neither gave a response.

Post your addnode list and make sure you conf file is in your appdata/roaming/noblecoin directory and it is named noblecoin.conf

this is my path for example.

I am currently connected to these nodes by default. you can add them by hand if you want.

Looking at the coin's demand, difficulty and the amount of miners who are seeking profits. It's clear that it's just keep inflating for now.

i agree, but that is still a way to push the value down, if they keep on pushing it down i'll be able to buy some more Grin

Also feel free to post items for sale! Its a craigslist style store. Currently prices are listed in $$ due to how unstable the prices are.

The site handles no coin/money; similar to craigslist, you send an email to the owner to begin negotiations.

GOD this board needs a multi-quote feature!!!!!!!!

is anyone else getting the feeling that the price is getting pushed down?

It's expected, we are on coinwarz now so everytime we get in the top 3 we will get slammed and dumped on. And people can't wait for craptsy! Hah they don't know be careful what you wish for you just might get it. Wink

I believe 55884 is wallet port so it looks like you are trying to connect to 2 ip's and not getting a connection. Yes syn_sent means your system sent a handshake to that port on that address and is waiting on a response.

Thats my conf and it is in the roaming folder.

OK, this is the only Ip your system is trying to connect to from your addnodes. 124.183.129.136 but for all I know that may be a hard coded IP. I can't test that right now as I'm local ming with the QT.

When you say it's in the roaming directory do you mean the USERNAME\Appdata\roaming\noblecoin directory???

Like I posted mine above. NOT just the Roaming directory. It must be in the coin sub folder and if your not local mining you don't need this

A lot of people that do know that planets go around the sun... Believe that the earth go around the sun in 24 hours....

Haven't read the article but my guess is it was a trick of the wording of the question.

The price should be at least 150 satoshi. Everybody buying it and trading for Amazon cards is making instant 50% profit...

Wink

it was a survey performed by the National Science Foundation, they also discovered that over 50% of americans believe that astrology is a science. now this i can kind of see, in that many people get confused over the words astronomy and astrology. but confusing the earth with the sun?Huh?

seriously check it out, if you look back over the last few years, we have been getting stupider and stupider.

I dont get that, I understand quick profit, but wouldn't they earn more if they keep 5M coins, go do other things, and sell later?

Not that I care, allows people a nice low entry level and the coin devs are still working awesomely on it.

investors are most likely realizing the value, pushing the price down so they can prepare for the boom

Personally do not see a problem, I am with noble for the long haul, matters not what people do now no need to panic at all, not much dealing going on anyway so others can see the true value also,

it's not so much about panicking, as it is frustration. yes, i understand that it is more profitable to get in at a lower price knowing how easy it will be to increase the value of ones holdings. however, i find it frustrating that as soon as rofo and the rest of the team gets a marketplace up and running, the perceived value gets pushed down, and that makes it harder ( more expensive) for smaller miners to purchase items from the marketplace, due mostly to the fact that a great deal of us know and understand that the accepted market value will increase over time. the combination of those two factors make perceived adoption of this currency ( number of purchases on the market page) seem much lower. as those who don't have much and very low hashing power are unlikely to spend their holdings while the exchange rate is this low.

like i said, not panicking, just frustrated.
