Here is the sister website so you can get an idea why a lot of people were on board with Rofo when he dropped Noblecoin

https://www.noblemovement.com/index
https://cryptortrust.com/about/advisory-boards/advisory-board-asia-pacific/jason-curby/
https://www.linkedin.com/in/jason-curby-9949b827/

Rofo was an amazing developer and we had a solid community. Honestly SIX HUNDRED+ pages in our announcement page very few other altcoins that aren't in the top 50 had this active of a dev. I just wished I knew what happened exactly happened to our roadmap / website.... movement.

so, is there a plan now on our beloved NOBL? where are we headin'? perhaps eagleflies and some devs can give some light where are we goin' now? Rofo might be doin' some activities for NOBL... for sure, for Noblemovement he did...

we'll be very happy to know the plan and the current road map... if there's one...

I did the following: walletpassphrase my password 600 true. Then i got the following message: {"code":-1,"message":"walletpassphrase <passphrase> <timeout>\nStores the wallet decryption key in memory for <timeout> seconds."}.
But the locked sign right below (a yellow lock) doesn't change and my wallet is still locked.

update:
Using your instructions I unlocked the wallet. But fort the instrcutions I need to close all wallets for salvagewallet method
See: https://github.com/eagleflies/noblecoin/wiki/Importing-private-keys-from-old-wallet.dat-using---salvagewallet-option

What is best step after unlocking the wallet?

Thanks

1. After you have unlocked the wallet using Passphrase enter the code dumpprivkey YOURNOBLEADDRESS and press enter.
2. It will produce your Private Key. Copy it
3. Goto your new POS Noble Wallet and in the console enter importprivkey PASTEYOURPRIVATEKEYHERE and press enter.
4. Wait a few seconds and you will see your coins. If you haven't synced your wallet, they will say unconfirmed until it confirms them on the blockchain.

I typed importprivkey PASTEYOURPRIVATEKEYHERE but still not transferring from old blockchain. What could be the issue? This is my old pow address.

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/noblold/address.dws?9hDhJnaJfps18WVnnbwYircYGKYZoR3RvX.htm

Edit: Finally I figured out what's really happening. Coins are transferred I never really received them in my wallet.dat because I never really fully synced them. Is it possible to fully sync old pow wallet now? Finding bootstrap would be great.

1) dump priv key from old PoW wallet via console command
2) copy priv key address
3) close PoW  wallet
4) open PoS wallet
5) import priv key via console command
6) finish syncing block chain on PoS wallet

Success

That is a great idea. But without a clear project road map...there will be no serious growth. I am holding and staking and plan on doing so for the long term.

Hello,
I'm trying to recover my old wallet.
When I install one of the latest versions (2.0.0 to 2.0.4) and replace wallet.dat with my own one, the wallet crashes while launching.
It says "Warning error reading wallet.dat! All keys read correctly, but transaction data or address book might be missing or incorrect".
What can I try? I tried on windows and on mac os..

I also looked for earlier versions of the wallet (i.e 1.0 something..) on the web but can't find any.

Thanks a lot for your help,
GP

Is your old wallet.dat post PoS switch over (newer than 2014)? If not then you need a PoW wallet. I might have a usable one if needed.

I think it's PoW, because when installing the newest wallets I found a new directory NoblecoinPOS, aside the "usual" (to me) Noblecoin one. A working PoW wallet would be of great help! Shall I give you my email on private message?
Should I then send the NOBL to a PoS address? Will it work? Thanks a lot!  Smiley

Try this one: https://mega.nz/#!lypjlSYK!vz66OJjYNdACkaA1JcCn1Lc_pL38exfN5ZiX4oC1cmI

I hope it's a PoW one but I'm not sure.

Thanks! I tried but it does not connect to nodes.
I copied in roaming noblecoin.conf, as suggested in readme, but that doesn't help.
How could I add nodes?
Could I use peers.dat from one of these versions? http://noble.ilikebtc.com/

Does it need to connect to nodes? If it's a PoW wallet you should be able to use these (https://github.com/eagleflies/noblecoin/wiki/Importing-private-keys-from-old-wallet.dat-using---salvagewallet-option) or these (https://github.com/eagleflies/noblecoin/wiki/Manual-way-of-importing-private-keys) instructions to import private keys from the PoW wallet into the new PoS wallet.

I'm not an expert at that though, so hopefully EagleFlies can weigh in with some info.

Hello,

You do not need to connect to nodes using PoW wallet. This blockchain does not work anymore. The only thing PoW wallet is needed for is to display private keys.

Also I strongly advise anyone getting PoW wallet (but also any executable files in general) to test it using antivirus software. Also it is best to run this wallet in a virtual machine e.g. virtualbox with no access to internet.

Thanks!

You can get this information from your wallet using 'getinfo' command. But if you do not run it just go to our explorer website https://chainz.cryptoid.info/nobl/#

I would say any laptop with decent CPU and 8GB+ memory. What's not important is graphic card. Also SSD drive is nice to have (but not critical) as it may greatly increase download of blockchain from internet.

But if you do not need to travel with it just get some desktop computer. They are more reliable (break less often), are easier to manage, fix and to add replace parts in the future.
Personally I would get a desktop with motherboard supporting at least 16 GB of RAM and buy 8 GB of RAM for current use (make sure there are still empty memory slots so you can buy more RAM in the future). Memory is often critical and very easy to install. Almost anyone can do this in desktop.

Speaking about CPU I love AMD Ryzen line. If you do not want to play games on this computer go for it.

Thanks!

Noble coin returns back to dust freely... This didn't look like a pump and dump to me, but what do I know. Still hodling

This sudden price rise was due to recent large(ish) exposure on JRBusiness, YouTube channel. It was new 'investors' coming in to chase profits. Not an organised P&D.

Anyone notice the new website on Coinmarketcap?

https://www.noblecoin.io

It looks like it's been updated this year? Still an active project?

Noble is still an active project, but it's not in full time development.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure www.noblecoin.io is not a website created or maintained by Rofo. It has bad grammar and mistakes everywhere (Rofo wouldn't put out anything with errors). Until it has been vetted, I wouldn't trust it and definitely wouldn't use the links to download the wallets.

I confirm www.noblecoin.io is not maintained neither by Rofo nor by myself. This is not an official website for Noblecoins.

Thanks!
