thanks for your reply Rofo..
snipped.

Hey Damnation, the profitably and market calculations done by hardcore miners is admittedly a little beyond me. I have been trying to consistently lower/even the rewards so that they reflect smaller-time mining but don't damage our larger miners loyalty. If we could have say, a group of 5 or 6 larger/more invested miners giving me updates (daily, whatever) on what they feel is fair in terms of give-aways (perhaps even %wise comparative to the daily amount mined) I am all ears.

edit, sorry this was also in response to NorrisK - that would be a good idea also.

Maybe it is an idea to base the massive miner rewards on hashrate.

Maybe start with coinex? As coinedup is a disaster for newely released coins imo

I will send an email similar to our CoinedUp one to Coinex also as it would be good to hit the 'entry-level' exchanges at the same time - and hope for the best. Will keep an eye out for any latest rounds of voting or updates and let everyone know, but don't want to be spammy/buy votes for the sake of rushing to an exchange to be honest.

hey rofo.. i wasn't talking about profitability of our coin that will constantly change i just thought that i would give a heads up to the community on what to expect in terms of realistic pricing... I figured it was a good way to reduce panic sells..
I have ignored variables like adoption rate etc and that plays a big part on pricing.. i doubt that even if we were sharing the same difficulty as world coin would we see the same value..

i'm really glad we haven't had any of that "to da moon" sentiment so far.. why on earth would we want that? the moon is trading at 1 satoshi the last i saw...

Also, i've been lurking on the EAC forum and would like to retract my statement about getting on cryptsy too quickly.. Coinedup will likely accept us sooner or later.. at which point i think we should gear our community to miner/merchant adoption... we need to spread out... we wont be able to escape auto-sell and multipool's once we are in the sights of the 3 C's ..cryptsy, coinmarketcap and coinwarz and those will hammer away at our prices making it harder to grow..

why is doge with a difficulty of 400 still profitable? simple the reason is because doge managed to find their stable level.. There's no point in just hiring someone to boost network hash.. price has to be steady for a period of 2-3 days at least to find its new stable point.. once the stable value is reached.. we are less prone to panic sells.. sudden increases and decreases tends to make market extremely volatile.. we are currently seeing that in a lot coins whose difficulties spike by 10%-20% as soon as multipools come in and stripmine the coin..

Sadly its all a question of timing....

The last thing our community needs is someone to come in here and say.. Doge hit 300 and we have 100x less coins being produced than doge.. so our price should be at least 30,000 satoshi.. the market doesnt work that way anymore.. why? cos every1 saw what happened to those that both at 300...

Hello all, toddayy it's my  Grin birthday  Grin and as a treat I present my "small" mining instruction for newbies using Windows Azure!! Simply said just look at the link below:
http://easycoinmining.blogspot.nl/2014/01/noblecoin-mining-using-windows-azure.html

It's still far from perfect, I realize that but maybe a good "startingpoint" to build something more simple and to get the masses involved (a bit more).
Please check and give me feedback if you want to and have time, THANKSSS

BTW if you want to make my (birth)day, donations are always welcome  Tongue Cheesy Wink

Hi there,

I got plenty PM, IRC Msgs and even Mail about http://poolerino.com making a pool for this nice looking coin.

As I dont want to setup a pool thats not needed, I ask here again. You got plenty of pools, so Im not sure.

Pool Setup would be 0% fee as always on newest 6 ssd raid 5 or 10 servers.

Let me know, send pm or reply.

Thanks,
Mike

Fast block retargets make this coin less attractive to multipools, as as soon as for instance middlecoin joins, the hash rate explodes, difficulty readjusts to 10x current diff, reducing profitabilty instantaneously.

I would love for your pool to be available for NOBLE. Only have good experience with your pool, even with the DOGE hack on the test pool.

Agreed, as well as with the rest of your sentiment. It's up to us to continue to work hard and move this forward as we have been - to minimise any negativity or loss of perceived potential of NOBLE through the auto-selling and multipool's. We aren't even thinking of the big 3 yet! It's all merchant and medium-level exchanges at least for the first-month (ideally two or three) period. I hope these kinds of approaches jibe well with the rest of the community.

lol i love the 2-3 month period statement but i doubt its feasible... not with whales who want to sell asap... and not with most miners who need immediate returns on their investment

True, unfortunately we seem to have very little control over the matter. :S

Of course there will be miners who want to sell and have a return on the time they spent mining.
But within this community I think there will be a fair amount of hoarding because there's a lot of dedication and a strong belief in the future of this coin if we do this right.
So maybe things can be different from the other altcoins dumps that takes place as soon as they hit an exchange...

I second that. In all my experiences with your pools in the past you have extremely professional and willing to help out in all cases. That being said, we have some great pool owners and Poolerino would be a great addition.

True enough.. one interesting coin i have mined was GRA or Grain..

They started about 2 weeks before Doge, LOT and the rest... but with the hype got lost in the scramble.. anyway.. community stayed small.. about 60-80Mh/s network hash at most.. and dev was constantly working in the background... Imagine that? A dev that could actually code.. Tongue anyway.. they only recently got posted on coinedup but whats remarkable is that despite it being 1 and half months old there were relatively no sell orders to match the low buy price.. its an aspect of the coin being PoS.. instead of selling low i would rather generate interest... heck noone is even moving the coin to pump and dump because change in wallet means a restart on PoS generation.

Anyway the point to this rambling is that its possible to instill a sense of "I'd rather keep this as an investment than to sell it at such a low price"
