I'm currently mining Vertcoin, my miner (the miner converted to work for Vertcoin) shows a hashrate of about 340KH/s. I've tried 2 pools and both consistently only show about 100-150KH/s. What's going on?

I use Cudaminer. It shows the same rate, as the pool.

Which miner and which pool do you actually use?

The one listed in the opening post; vertminer-0.5.3.

The 340KH/s should be about right, I'm using a single r9 280x right now. I've read you're supposed to get 45% of normal scrypt mining, and 45% of 750 = around 340.

It's also kinda hard to imagine that both pools would be 'stealing' my hashrate in such an obvious way. Tried bitcrush and vertco.in.

vertco.in sometimes showing the wrong values on the dashboard, but if you click on "Pool" the number seems more accurate.

Tried setting intensity to 12, as I got HW errors on 13. With intensity set to 12 I don't get hardware errors but a low hashrate that's constantly fluctuating between 210 and 270 KH/s, and the pool still shows around 100 KH/s.
When I click "Pool" on vertco.in numbers are still low, but maybe I'll have to wait for them to normalize.

This gets me 360 on all 280x I have
./vertminer -o stratum+tcp://POOL_URL -u user.worker -p workerpassword -I 13 -g 2 --auto-fan --gpu-engine=1000 --gpu-memclock=1500 --thread-concurrency 8191 --temp-target 75

For me best pool seems to be http://vtc.coinvention.net/ . I have no idea why but I **think** i'm getting more vtc per day with 270khash. I'm saying think because difficulty is changing so, it's hard to say for sure. I've tried vertco and bitcrush also but payouts seems to be lower...

Hi all,

I am looking for an individual who can set up a multipool for a few coins for me.
It will be a private pool for a private project, so your discretion is appreciated.

What I need is this:

GPU mining set up for MMC, MAX, and PTS (please see 1gh.com as an example) along with CPU mining.
* front end not necessary, but backend gui would be nice to have for comfortable management of the pool

(your support for further coin additions/troubleshooting will as well be needed - prices can be negotiated at time of need)
* I do have linux knowledge and have set up servers before, but never a mining pool

Each coin will be mined by only one user account (but multiple miners pointed to it)
The pool will be mining only one coin at a time.

I must be able to switch which coin is mined at any given time from the back-end interface of the pool administration

The pool will be used by approximately 500 miners (cpu and gpu mix) continuously, with peaks of up to 2,000
(the server needs to be able to handle this load, and you need to know how to tweak the settings to optimize performance)
Currently have space on DigitalOcean, but if that will not be sufficient, you need to let me know before we proceed.

This pool will have its own custom built GUI miner (similar to one that ypool.net has)
The flow is this:

1) user downloads pool.GUI.miner

   a) pool.GUI.miner has built in GPU and CPU miners for the coins
b)pool.GUI.miner detects if the user PC has a usable GPU or not and determines the optimal mining
settings (if no GPU present on system, half of the CPU resources need to be used for mining)
c)pool.GUI.miner adds itself to PC start up and starts mining whenever the computer is stared.

2) pool.GUI.miner connects to POOL sending work over stratum protocol

3) POOL receives work and divides rewards it into two wallets/pool accounts (I must be able to set the
percentages for each coin manually at any given time (this can work as a regular pool fee implementation)

I must be able to generate reports on all pool data/traffic/rewards/payouts and so on.

YOUR REWARD FOR THIS IS BTC0.10

Once this is built, I would like to implement VTC merge mined with UltraScryptCoin, but this is low prio atm.

Smiley PLEASE PM ME WITH YOUR QUESTIONS Smiley

That's... About... $60 or 45 Euros. Really? For all that work? LOL

And besides, aren't multipools considered a bad thing here? With a limited hashrate the effects wouldn't be that bad, but who says he won't upscale at some point in the future?

Don't like this logo, previously in this thread was introduced much awesome coin identity design.

Yep, for me the original logo is best, clean & simple ... i would not change it

Frankly speaking I agree

Hey guys,

I wanted to check with our twitter army, are we still making an effort to add vertcoin to BTC-E by twitting on their Twitter page (https://twitter.com/btcecom)? Unfortunately I am not using twitter, hence I can't help in that respect, but members who are, please tweet as much as you can, if we add our coin on a big exchange such as BTC-E, it would give more exposure to our currency.

In the mean time, I am still bugging mcxNow team to add VTC on their exchange, and also I have opened a ticket with Coins-E exchange (not sure if it's visible: https://coins-e.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/7748). If you are able to see this ticket (might have to register), please reply and add in your vote, everything helps.

Slowly? Cheesy

Additionally to mining, I did buy some VTC at coinmarket.io less than 24 hours ago:
Code:
Buy	Wed Feb 19 01:10:05	0.00223001

At the moment (20:52 here) I see:
Code:
Buy orders
Price VTC 0.00360000

Thats 61%. But still way too low to feel like selling...

Yes it is slow, but a healthy slow.  Its about time we see VTC grow at a good pace and settles into the market.
