well, honestly, and I do not want to be an a**hole, but why the hell should we want that every living person on Earth start mining any coin at all? yes, sure why not and after 1-2 months the diff will be so high that everybody could throw out the mining rig.....on the other hand yes, it would be nice to see vtc rise but where is the limit of that? This is just a thought, I'm not saying I'm right so please do not attack me I'm just starting the conversation thanks

Its a good point. But...  the idea isn't bring all single person on hearth to mining. Its just give the average person, who doesn't have any clue about mining, .bat files and configs and time to learn (yes, cuz a lot of people work all day) a program that would be easy to use.

yes indeed, I did not think that because of that everyone will quit their job and start mining it was just a thought, like the big 3 th/s bitcoin boxes which will be shipped in 1-2 months and the bitcoin diff will be higher and higher

Guys. in my opinion "zero trust" in vertcoin will have more positive implications than zero chash.  I am not saying "zero cash" is bad but I think we should focus on zero trust as some other person pointed in reddit.

You should take a look at tacotime's guiminer-scrypt bundle for mining litecoin. It had a similar effect to what you're talking about. Maybe you can modify it for vertcoin.

I'm using the exact settings I use for every scrypt coin in cudaminer, but all vertcoin gives me is "boooooo" results. Every pool's "Gettings started" section looks exactly the same as all the other scrypt coin pools. The line of code is the same. The only difference is the pool address.

Why am I getting "boooo" instead of "yay"?   I downloaded the cudaminer version from the OP post. It appears to mine but "booooooooooo!" and  no coins.

My settings which works for every single other coin and get me 300kh on GTX670.

Actually you can mine this fine with cudaminer.  You just need the latest build (get 2/18). And then use this algo argument:

  cudaminer.exe --algo=scrypt:2048 -l K7x32  

The key is --algo=scrypt:2048

If you want to manual tune you will need to play around with the K7x32 part (it'll be probably something like K7x16).. or try to use autotune (though that's kind of iffy)

But yeah do not touch cgminer/vertminer if you are on Nvidia.

I can't mine with vertminer, in order to mine this coin i have to download a tweaked miner from dedicatedpool.com. The vtc miner from the official site doesn't start, it shows up for 1 second and after that it closes. Is this happening only to me?

I see the dopping prices as an advantage, difficulty decreases and then you sell at a proffit a week, month, year(depending on your sittuation) later..
