Somebody needs to pay the electricity.
It will give you less seller remorse if the coins you are selling is not going to jump 40x tommorow.
I mean I sold 500 vtc for 0.1 btc,  and it jumped next week, imagine my feeling then it's much better if it's some other junk alt you know.

Indeed! See a site that deals in crypto and doesn't have Vertcoin? Send them an e-mail! See a site, marketplace, store, magazine, online game etc (really any site that sells stuff) that doesn't deal in Vertcoin yet? Send them an e-mail! Your friends talking about getting into Bitcoin? Tell them about Vertcoin (diversify!).

It's in every Vertcoin holder's best interest to spread the word and increase adoption, along with actually buying stuff from the sites that offer payment in verts (obviously you don't have to buy stuff you don't want just to promote the splendor of Verta).
