I've just been catching up on last night's AMA, and one unanswered question towards the end of the thread really stood out for me. From fpvhawk:

"How about we fund our own vertcoin P2P exchange opensource software, you download the software and place your buy/sell order. Each order has has a small fee that continues to fund the development of the exchange."

...

Thats actually a good idea. Someone should post the idea at http://vertcoinmarket.com/.

Also, would be nice to see a Wiki, maybe funding to that too?

I'll be donating Wink

Edit: English is not my first language: Would do it if I could write a litle better Tongue

Got my account back! It was hacked. Sorry about it :|

Can be traded in exchange VTC for a Dollar ?

yes you can:
https://c-cex.com/index.html?p=vtc-usd

but only 3 sell orders atm, maybe u are lucky with a buy order

note: i don't have any experience with c-cex and i think you will find a better price and a lot more possibility if you buy/ltc btc first and  trade for vtc

Thanks but this site does not cost - no volume even at BTC

The time now is profitable to buy directly VTC than mining redirected all video cards to mining other coins

Surely the next logical step for this coin is to explore the idea of p2p exchange?
This has been discussed just a few pages ago. The notion of a p2p exchange only makes sense if what you're sharing between peers can be represented and exchanged digitally, without trust - physical dollars can't and the payment processors dealing in digital representations of the dollar are strictly regulated. At some point you need to bridge to the fiat world and at that point you must comply with their rules. This is one reason why the current exchanges are so shaky - their business model is entirely predicated on their ability to operate within the laws of whatever country they operate within, and legislation against cryptocurrency exchanges could arrive at any time.

A decentralised cryptocurrency exchange is possible (a secure, trust-free exchange from one cryptocurrency into another), but payment out to fiat is a hard problem that is not limited by code, but rather by law.

Yes, the thrust of my suggestion was that a p2p exchange could be purely crypto>>>crypto.  Leave FIAT exchange and all the regulatory headaches that go with it to Bitstamp, BTC-E, Coinbase etc.

Apologies, reading your other post back it's quite clear that's what you meant. My fault.
