I think that from the get go, the N factor schedule is too slow...gives time to ASIC manufacturers to catch up eventually, and it also heavily favors miners invested in high end r9 280x/7970/7950/r9 290 cards, ergo big farm owners.
On the other hand a higher n factor (or faster changing one) would make lower end cards with higher shader to vram size ratios better, or at least much closer to r9 290 performance, which in the end would be better for descentralization if it helps spread the mining power between people of different social classes, not everyone can afford to buy high end gpus and powerful psus to build a sustainable mining rig.

I have a question and hopefully a developer can answer it for me.
Can you guys please, please get in touch with Nate of MultiMiner and or Luke Jr. of BFGMiner and contribute the code so we can get scrypt N support in them? Nate Woolls and Luke Jr have stated over and over any coins or algorithms can be added but they need the devs to contribute the code. They would be happy to support it and do it quickly.
They serve a huge group of the crypto mining community. MultiMiner is a great GUI program that beats any I have used for any backend. It is new user friendly and has the same ability for tweaks and tinkering that cgminer and BFGMiner have.
I am asking on behalf of the crypto community and myself.
Thanks for your consideration.

Good idea! I've used mobile miner quite a bit, have a paid subscription and all.

Especially with all the new capability of MobileMiner adding the Scrypt N so we can mine vertcoin and use MM it would be awesome. I have a question and hopefully a developer can answer it for me.

GPU Advantage: http://cpucoinlist.com/Somebody is able to calculate Vertcoin GPU advantage for every N value? every N value better than 4.6 GPU advantage, what is Darkcoin level - would be acceptable for us, I suppose...

I'm thinking the same.

Hey boris, is anyone in the dev team purposely purchasing one of the flower tech asics just to actually test it's stats when mining vert? I'd be curious to know if it is as good or better than gpu mining at all. It probably isn't.
No comment Re it's performance, even FlowerTech won't know that yet (nor will they know power consumption) so really, it's complete vaporware at this stage +1

I want the DEV to tell me something about this https://www.flowertechnology.com/ The world’s most powerful ASIC for mining Scrypt and Scrypt-N proof-of-work coins. ? Is that possible?

Can anyone recommend another p2pool front end besides the hardcpp one? I've seen some other ones that are nicer, but I don't know the names. Thanks!

Would you consider adding support BFGMiner? My mining software uses BFGMiner and am unable to mine your coin.
Thanks!

Yes, it is always possible to make an ASIC for any algorithm. yes and it depends on how much interest hardware makers have in particular coin . As soon as coin gets popular , asics are bound to surface.

Yes, it is always possible to make an ASIC for any algorithm. The bigger battle is making cost-efficient ASICs that a consumer/miner can afford. The even bigger battle is making an ASIC device for a coin that will just fork abruptly before/after shipments. That makes all the investments, pre-orders, r&d, manufacturing and all other costs wasted.

Yes, it is always possible to make an ASIC for any algorithm. even for pure pos? i don't think so pure pos is not realable and workable thing see WC recent double spend. I see some new ones also pot, por,pob and po... pute next letter here.In Pos minners can sign all chains in pow only one chain.SO as in pos minner can sign all chains its not solving double spend attacks. Solutions in pos are in client level in pow in protocol level.so Pos is not so serious .
