The prices below 0.002 have had a sense, they were like a capitulation and profit was just possible by waiting for its end. Moving the price up now is TOO EARLY.

The coin is too young and not enough coins are mined so it cant keep the value for too long and too high almost in recession times.

The problem is that mining is no more profitable in some countries if you have to pay electricity. SimpleVert.com is nice but who will be the first triple merged VTC-MON-PLX P2P pool ?
(now mining on Simplevert and VTC-MON P2P pool Cooba 13)

For some reason, when I spend a day on simplevert compared to a day on give-me-coins, I get about 1/2 the VTC from simplevert that I get from give-me-coins.

So are you saying you might be doing something wrong on " simplevert.com"  OR do you think you are getting ripped off please be honest cause i would like to use a pool that lets me get vert and mon at same time. 

I can say I've used give-me-coins for many months and they've always been a good pool. I'm currently mining at their VTC+MON+PLX pool.

Issue is that I have 6 GPU rigs, but I could only get vertminer to work on 2 of them. The other 4 are doing a multipool (scryptguild).
I earn about as much per day on the 2 VTC/MON/PLX rigs as I do on the 4 multipool rigs.
I would actually do better if I could get vertminer working on all 6 rigs.

To the people assuming vertpay is a scam just because they have a bitcointalk thread on here, it's just to inform you of the IPO itself, they do have an official website and the people who are actually running the company are known individuals in the space...try doing a bit of research before calling something a scam.
Finally, whether they had a kickstarter or not anyone who invests into anything is taking a risk, my suggestion? If you do invest any of your vert into vertpay don't invest any more than what you could potentially lose. If you are dumb enough to invest all of your vert and go broke over it you probably shouldn't be talking about investing in the first place.

Use QTcreator it will also give you a graphic interface
download from https://qt-project.org/downloads
and run vertcoin-qt.pro from your vertcoin folder

Alternatively (no graphic interface)
make -f makefile.unix on your src folder

Or just do

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:vertcoin/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install vertcoin-qt
