If this thread continues any longer, Tokyoghetto is gonna get called into senate hearings.  All these people are up in commotion talking about Hobonickels like it's the next Google stock offering.

An IRS swat team will probably also kick down someone's door after they read, "2% return every ten days", as well.

Also, what 's the deal with all these martingale bots (or whatever the fuck they're doing) on both sides of the Cryptsy order sheet for every coin nowadays.  You can't even find where the real prices are because no exchange supports depth that high.  I want to beat the hell out of whatever guy runs these things.

LOL, I see you're back here complaining! Roll Eyes

On another note, I got my first HBN stake today Smiley

Gratz. Hoping for my first stake starting today.

Just wanted to let the thread know the newest version 1.4 is now ready. This fixes many key issues, and has been compiled with the newest version of open ssl.

Seriously great support. Thanks Tranz.

HBN looks like a good long term coin because it has not really been noticed yet. The only thing I see holding it back is its name for people unfamiliar with "Real" hobonickels.

Staking weight is a great feature!

It is! Although like bitcoin it will be accused of being a pyramid type scheme sooner or later as the more years go on the more the early adopters will have (As a %)

Great work as always Tranz. The quick update to resolve the Heartbleed OpenSSL issue is another reason why this coin and this community is rock solid.

I wonder how many scam clone coins will update and how long it will take them to do so. I think the answer will be "not many" and "too long".

He is right. I also have my robots there, so I know what he's talking about.
But I can pull them off if Tranz tells me it's immoral  Lips sealed

Been considering making an investment portfolio like this one. Should it consist exclusively of HBN? Any suggestions? I was thinking of MINT, ECC, ZEIT, PHS, and TEK.

Was thinking (percentage wise)

20% HBN
15% ECC
15% ZEIT
20% PHS
25% TEK
5% BC

OF a 2 part investment, other half of investment would be speculative investment (banking on coins that will go up in price)

25% vertcoin
15% darkcoin
10% Hirocoin
10% maxcoin
10% reddcoin
10% feather coin
5% Goldcoin
5% Nxt
5% Litecoin
5% Bitcoin

You should, that would be interesting. Of course I would argue HBN should be a much larger %, but I am biased, as HBN is the ONLY altcoin I have.  In fact I don't even have BTC right now.

I have done something similar:

30% HBN
25% CGB
20% TEK
15% PHS
10% BC

I regret not taking more HBN instead of BC.

I put some blackcoin, because it seems to have potential, IDK why. POS rate is slop, i might remove it, and add some more to TEK, or HBN. Is CGB,Bitbar, or litebar a good option?

I dont like Blackoin because of its low interest rate and high coin maturity. 500 blocks is a lot for someone to wait on coins. Since they are 100% PoS it seems like the only thing pumping the price is the multipool. The volume they do on Mintpal is pretty incredible.

CGB has a good community and its an older blockchain so thats a plus. Bitbar has a bad rep because of the instamine, I personally avoid it. I don't know anything about litebar.

I guess it all depends on how aggressive you want your portfolio to be.

I wouldn't mind being on C-SPAN. I would just make fun of Ben Bernanke and only answer questions from Ron Paul.

But they would have to extradite me first.

If you are looking from a pure stake point of view - ignore CGB & Bitbar. Both only give you 2% per year - its a joke really. I don't know about litebar.

Mintcoin: Get some

You are forgetting Mintcoin. "MINT" really has the best distribution because it was the first faster distribution PoW/PoS coin and actually got pumped "during" the PoW mining  phase, was the most profitable coin to mine for a long time and was mined by thousands of people. You should also know that Blackcoin is a master-scam as the creators instamined the entire money supply by renting all the hashpower over their 1-week distribution period and now they are manipulating the trading volume because they own 99% of the money supply. ECC is basically another MINT clone, which is just hoping to ride on mint's success, but Mintcoin is building the infrastructure for mass adoption and already has over 40 merchants accepting it and getting on Vault of Satoshi within a few more weeks, implemented coin control into their latest wallet just today. It is still massively undervalued right now due to the sell off from being the most profitable and distributed PoS coin.
