In times of such market correction, it seems that investors are beginning to move investments on coins with smaller market capitalization. And it looks like Altcoin like Eos is one of the coins that has that character. So for this year, Eos can be a consideration for investment in one year.

In my opinion thE best option is BTC and ETH, hold these coin for 1 years will be possible to give muliple times profits. And others coin that still has low marketcap but has strong community in my opinion is Hexx, Linda and Daps, these three altcoins still has low trading volume because not listed yet in big exchange but the community and the team developer look like strong and solid to make their coin more popular and more demand.

If you want to invest for altcoin and holding it for one year  maybe that is not good strategy, holding for one year is too long but if want to do that maybe bitcoin is the best to hold thats the only safest way to hold unlike altcoins there is no assurance.

Maybe we shouldn't expect moon within a year as it isn't enough for a coin especially those that are just ended from ICO as their roadmap is not yet completed. But I would suggest to hold the top 10 alts in CMC, forget it for some years and you'll surprise how it grows.

Looks like there is no coin like Neo in the past year. A lot of potential altcoin, but maybe market support is not big enough to fly the coin to the moon. So maybe for the next one year we'll just get a chance on the newly released coins, of course with a greater risk.

This is true and we all know that, but op is simply looking for suggestions. Nothing wrong with suggesting a particular coin or token since op has to decide which coin or token to invest into and our feedback could help. Personally, I believe that Ethereum and NEO are the safer coins with huge upside potential which is why I already have some of these coins and am HODLING at the moment.
