A few options for you in the UK, as am I:

• Sign-up with Okpay, you can do an international bank transfer and convert GBP(£) to BTC
• Sign-up with European exchange https://bitcoin-central.net/, international bank transfer to Bitcoin Central in Euro
• My favourite; use https://bittylicious.com/ to trade GBP for BTC using fast banking transfer with an escrow like mechanism

International bank transfers take three days and cost £15 with my bank

For anyone in Canada curious, i have used QuickBT .... No signup required just a canadian cell number to get a verification code.

They limit the max transaction to 0.12BTC to keep out shady activity apprently.  It uses interact online (but only 4 banks use that, mine fortunately does).  The prices are a little bit off market value... by the time you factor in fees/off exchange rate. But with how easy it is that made it worth while.

Mind you i am only talking from my experience of two transactions, receiving them in under 30 minutes.

Thanks all for the mintpal votes over the last 12 hours, it has gone up over 150 it looks like, lets keep it coming.

I have spoken to the iCoin team and we are willing to IPO the 25000 iCoin Viperbass has available for the premine at a rate of 0.00001500 which we feel is a good price even
though it's double the current trading price on Poloniex but we need to make the votes at least count for more.

We will continue to the IPO when captainhook has returned to make sure we get onto MintPal. Many of our users have expressed concern over the other exchanges and it's preventing them
from buying especially after the coinmarket.io debacle.

So thinking of IPO'ing to 5 different community members at the above rate. 5000 iCoin for 0.075 btc into the btc wallet for iCoin on Mintpal, this will come to 0.375 btc for 25000 iCoin

@TamiLee, Thanks I really don't like what is going on with exchanges at the moment and in general liars and scammers. Every single scam exchange will hurt the crypto community driving more
people away. This is why the drive to get into Mintpal now for iCoin! We think it's better then Cryptsy and they even remove coins that have no trade volume.

Absolutely TamiLee, any exposure would be great! Right now, our main focus is to get listed on a credible exchange such as MintPal and also broaden our merchant network as well. I would like to make a suggestion, don't implement N-Scrypt until we see the impact ASICs will have. The one advantage ASICs will give to a currency is a more secure network and also people buying ASIC's generally have a lot of money to invest compared to your GPU miners.

I see this as a window of opportunity to get iCoins name out there before they release these beasts onto the market. In many ways this could have a positive impact on the price but it will only
be a few currencies that will benefit from price inflation and I am sure LTC will be one of them.

I obviously believe iCoin price is far too low currently as I have worked out the figures, the block reward halving might help later this but having N-Scrypt as a backup is going to instill confidence
in the community.

Yeah I think that is correct personally. And as you said we have no way of knowing the real impact until it comes. The things with ASICs is that the offer much more power at a lot less cost, and as they have said a lot more network stability.  

The big thing n-scrypt offers to current miners with big setups is the possibility of not losing their investment of their current mining hardware. Which is good for personal reasons but i am not sure as a whole for all coins.  The N-Scrypt is a big thing right now because everyone is looking for the newest tech as it makes it slightly different from the rest, weeding out all the garbage coins.

I think its imperritive that N-scrypt is ready if it is needed, so its great it is being tested and the dev is actively working on improving this coin makes it 100x better than most coins flat out the gate imho.

Maybe we can get more feedback from the community on the pros and cons of each!
