And i hope to see iCoin worth around 10$ per coin in the near future.
That means 5 billion market cap. No way! 0.1$ per coin (=50 million market cap) would be extraordinary, but still very hard to believe. For this it has to fight with Doge on the same market - that of enthusiasts and newcomers (attracted through social networks) - on which Doge is already far away and seems unshakable. And worse, similar coins (with the same target) appear, now, every day - for example, look at DigiByte and Reddcoin, both very well marketed (maybe better than iCoin). Yes, you have a very good name, but you must do much more to convince people. Let's see this evening's surprize
that's not how market cap works

if all the coins were mined then it would be correct. But it's basically how many coins have been mined to date. Bitcoin for example right this second has 12 million+ bitcoins in circulation. but a total of 21 million will be mined in the future. You work out the total by the amount of coins currently in existence. not how many there are going to be. unless they have all already been mined. icoin i think will have 17.5 million in the first year in circulation, so any estimation of price should be using that number as a basis of value....Althou that number could be slightly wrong. i read it from a fellow Icoiner and didn't check the accuracy. But it will take 900 years to have the total number of coins in circulation

But it will take 900 years to have the total number of coins in circulation I understand now that there will be only 17.5 million first year. But even an 1.75 million market cap (=0.1$/ICN) seems hard to reach. There are so many new coins sharing the same (not very large) market and most of them have only 5-6 digit numbers ( http://coinmarketcap.com/ ). For example, what has iCoin more than Vertcoin (which was the most succesful coin in recent times) to gain a larger market cap?

Currently, the value is almost .04 USD and that's without proper messaging, marketing, user interface, website, etc... iCoin is not listed on any major exchange yet, nor any popular comparison sites like CoinMarketCap or CoinWarz. We are very much in the infancy stages, only being 40 days old. You also have to take into consideration our strategy is longevity, not pump n dump, and the fact that Bitcoin has taken a recent nosedive subtly brings down the value per iCoin as well. It's also unfair to compare iCoin to "traditional" alternative currencies as our marketing strategy will rely heavily on introducing new users outside of the core cryptocurrency community, whom many of which will likely not even know what "digital currency, scrypt, Litecoin, or mining is There are many factors that weigh in iCoin's favor, and the iCoin team looks forward to enacting all these plans into fruition. Look forward to having you on board. Looking forward to a continued engaging discussion and to the future as a whole - Ridg

Just because you may have a different marketing strategy doesn't make the coin any different. Out of curiosity though, how do you plan on introducing iCoin to the unwashed masses?

We will start by executing social media and PR/article release campaigns to websites and publications that may have mentioned Bitcoin/Litecoin in the past but don't neccessarily have a devoted interest to cryptocurrencies. (Banking/Finance/Business/Popular Trends niches) and upon gathering widespread attention, we will have a seamless process of educating those who are new to digital currency on our new website, as they download their wallets. Furthermore, we will have a video series focused on tutorials and support for the general consumers / merchants as well That's our strategy in a nutshell. There's obviously other moving pieces involved and it gets a bit more granular, but I hope that gives you a general idea.

But what about the other new coins - as DigiByte and Redd - that have the same target, the same ideas of strategy and both seem to be more convincing for the people ( at least judging by the number of posts on this forum)? How do you think you could overcome them and become the real... facebook coin? I hope you understand that I'm asking all these because there is something that attracts me to this coin and I plan to invest in it, but I want to clarify if you really have a good strategy to promote it.

Terrible coin names made for geeks like us, won't ever get into the real world. Digibyte sounds like a tech company, not a currency... it definitely won't get any panties wet. Sorry to be rude

WOW!
Great name, great logo, fantastic website... I am all in!
Take this coin outside of the Crypto world, there will be plenty haters on these forums who have backed the wrong coin after seeing these changes.
