depressing to see this great coin staying scrypt and falling so way out of favor with people ..
I loved it when it first came out ..
dev should of gone x11 long time ago ..
he has failed us all!

Don't be sad... Smiley

Apparently there is an important announcement this week!

I've been holding DigiByte since the very beginning and will continue to do so...

As stated above Digibyte is working on a new multi-algorithm approach to mining Digibyte. We innovate, not copy x11.

Digibyte (Jared), has also stated that he is working on an exchange. This exchange will be known as digi-pay.

I am currently working on setting up a digibyte foundation. It is in the conceptual stage.

So you will not be disappointed...

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Thank you all for the very insightful dialog recently regarding the algo change. There were some very good posts that have been made. We will be making to the official algo change announcement tomorrow! Stay tuned!

with the announcement being made tomorrow this will be too late, but imagine the appeal of Digibyte's speed, mixed with anonymity to prevent companies from gaining too much data on you (like is happening now with btc blockchain analysis). That would really give it a lot of appeal I feel. This is supposed to be a coin to use at the likes of a cafe or store, where speed is important, but I'd rather my shopping habits weren't then analyzed etc.
(alternatively you could make the opposite as a huge bonus for merchants to adopt Digibyte!! lol)

I am so eager now to point my rigs back to DGB if it changes to a cooler and less power consumption, anti-asic, and if possible, anti-multipool algorithm.  Cheesy
Hope so.

Yeah, when the line you draw is angled down so far it hits zero in an estimed one month it's pretty much a meaningless line I think.

I'm curious. With DBG stuck on block 131993 for over an hour and a half now, I started looking at the block chain and I noticed that it's been taking progressively longer to find blocks, with only an average of 10.66 blocks found per hour over the last 24 hours.

Only an average of 19.25 blocks found per hour over the last 5 days?

I've quickly searched a bit, but I haven't found anything on this. Forgive me if I've missed it.

Add: 131994 was just found - just under 2 hours between blocks!

When will you be able to discuss the marketing and exchange? Don't get me wrong this announcement is everything DGB needed, but the price will not be affected for another few months. In for the long-term, just getting bored.

Someone (one person) is selling millions of coins on mintpal all of a sudden. Any idea why?

Edit: and after a few minutes sell orders were removed. There were exactly 600,000 dgb sell oders at 40 satoshi and up for a while and now they are removed. Maybe a bot that exploded?

If you wanted to buy more, cheaply, ASAP... wouldent that be the best way ( force ) the market low..buy & then remove your sells? If theres a better way..lemme know.

I don't know why he would want to force the price down, but snapped 2.5 million dgb's right there.
