Got a 1.6(ish)TH SHA-256 ASIC available and willing to use for testing the multi-algo. Have sent a similar message on IRC... but honestly have not used IRC since the 90's.... so if interested maybe best to PM on here....
Thank you for the offer! We are not quite to that point but when we are we could definitely use the SHA hash! We will post over all social media when we are ready. Thanks again!

Great pool! Everyone should try out P2P mining at some point.

Don't Forget Poloniex has added DGB to their voting list, lets help it get there, the more places its available, the better. As of this message DGB has 48 votes.(16 more than my previous post thanks for the votes!) The URL for your convince is below. Have a great week!

Voted! Unfortunately, Polo is a pure volume play. They have added XLB and VRC recently due to large volume from Bittrex. I'd be in for groestl or some algo like that as the summer is comming from what i've heard it makes alot of less heat is way less quiet and does way more work!

Quark also good for summer, similar to X11 in power consumption/ heat generated

Quark also good for summer, similar to X11 in power consumption/ heat generated We are definitely implementing Groestl, Sha-256, Scrypt and Qubit (best CPU algo 3:1 GPU:CPU). The 5th algo we have not decided on yet. We also have talked about 3 algos possibly. Groestl by all measures is more energy efficient and better performing than x11 for GPU miners.

Survey - how many of you are planning on pointing SHA at DGB when it releases? I've got the chance to pick up a Blue Fury 2.7Ghz (2.5W, USB) ASIC for stupid cheap (0.04 BTC) and I want to get a feel for what kind of a hashrate I'd be wading into.

Multi-Algo testing is moving forward for #DigiByte. What is your favorite GPU mining algorithm right now & why? We want to explore several options while we have the opportunity right now.
Right now these are the algos we are leaning toward:
Edit: Multi-algo mining means DigiByte distribution will be split and weighted equally among 5 different mining algos. Each algo will have its own difficulty. This essentially puts SHA ASICs on an equally playing field with GPUs, Scrypts ASICs and to a limited degree CPU miners.
Algos that will be implemented for sure: Algo #1: Scrypt (We started here, and embrace Scrypt ASICS here as a market to tap into) Algo #2: Sha256 (Huge existing Bitcoin mining infrastructure to tap into) Algo #3: Grostl: Outperforms x11 with lower temps, and higher hash. Most GPU friendly.
Open for Change: Algo #4: Qubit: Best CPU algo, still GPU mine-able. 3:1 ratio to CPU for performance. Would allow new people with CPU only mining to get some coins. Algo #4: Skein, Keccack, Blake, Quark... we are undecided here
Also, we are happy to announce multi-algo mining will dramatically reduce the chance of a 51% attack on the network. As well as making mining much more fair for everyone. To conduct a 51% attack an attacker would need control of 3 of the 5 algos.

Scrypt, N Scrypt (cant have n-factor schedule built in, or just set in stone) , Grostl
Im all for any GPU algo that actually uses a GPU's abilities, IE creates heat. I have personal beliefs that the x11/x12 x/w/e have mining software that actually DOES use a gpu's abilities that the masses are un aware of.

+1 We agree. We will most likely not do x11, x13 etc.
