I just started with the scrypt test pool. Until now everything seems to be fine.

A pity I sold all my GPUs a couple of weeks ago Are there any public graphs about the running test? Hashrates, difficulties and blocktimes?

We have now just now reached a full 24 hours and will be crunching some numbers and putting data points together. Qubit and groestl seem to be causing a few problems as they have been sluggish/hard to mine. Mainly do to issues with the mining pool. We have seen some impressive hash swings and we really people helping us out.

Problems getting CPU mining going to test DigiCPU (Qubit)
As luck would have it a second CPU arrived today for an upgrade I'm doing on one of our HP ProLiant DL360p servers. Obviously after installing it I need a way to stress test it...
Firstly, I've noticed that both the GPU, and CPU miner links point to the same place (SGMiner). I can't get this running on the server as it's Matrox G200 graphics card and doesn't have OpenCL.dll
I then went to the QubitCoin forum post and found their CPU miner link points to Minerd. I've downloaded that and am using the following command line to launch it:
minerd.exe -a qubit -o stratum+tcp://69.164.206.169:4032 -u t74fXcaZRPsDs6YgRbfWddDSc1Bm6TitCA -p 123
This seems to initialize all the CPU cores, however it gives an error saying there's no reponse from the stratum server.
Has anyone managed to get the CPU mining working properly on a server OS without an AMD or nVidia graphics card?

Tried to run qubit on a machine with no AMD or nVidia graphics card. Got "OpenCL.dll is missing" message.
Tried to run Digi3to1 ccminer on the same machine. It couldn't find nVidia drivers.
I think you need a miner and algorithm that is purely CPU based.

Tried to run Digi3to1. The CPU miner link leads to a minerd based miner. Started it with "minerd.exe -a myr-gr -o http://69.164.206.169:20001 -u groestl -p iWanttominesomedgbGroestl" Seems to be hashing on all threads but not showing any 'Yah!!!' or 'Accepted'. Perhaps this miner doesn't? Is there any way I can tell this is working? I'll leave it for a few hours.

I wonder what their daily withdrawal and deposit cap is. Surprised they got money transmitter licenses that fast. I thought it was a much longer process in the US. YC

I called them and no one picked up. Based on their screenshots, they have a $200 daily limit, which honestly isn't very exciting. I do agree its early so we will watch how it pans out. Cryptsy is going threw the same things from what I gather, they have their FinCEN BSA in Florida, which is why I trade there, USD/BTC markets. Their I believe the 1st in the US to offer that trading pair on a market, not just a buying or selling service like coinbase.

Just wanted to give everyone an update. The testing has went somewhat decently but it has revealed a few issues we need to address. We are working on ironing the kinks out as we speak.
The biggest problem we have ran into has actually been with the mining pool itself. Setting up all 5 mining algorithms on one mining pool as proved a bit ambitious. To date there are no mining pools out there that have been able to achieve that with NOMP. Stay tuned for more updates! We are working hard and want to make sure there are no issues when we roll out this update! Thanks for all your support and help with testing!

How has the experience with Cryptsy been? Can you fund via credit cards or is it ACH only? In addition, how quickly does it to take for the USD to show up? This has been my biggest issue with Coinbase. A cap and 4-5 days for the larger investment to come through. YC I wonder what their daily withdrawal and deposit cap is. Good luck! What does that NOMP mean? NOMP= Node Open Mining Portal. It is a next generation mining pool that supports multiple coins, as well as multiple hashing algos. It does not require a user to sign up, thereby mitigating security breaches/ stolen coins etc. https://github.com/zone117x/node-open-mining-portal

The only thing I relate on this is that they currently require you send them a check for USD deposit. And, their account verify process is quite cumbersome requiring multiple scanned docs, etc. I am verified but haven't used the service since I don't use paper checks! Go figure, digital currency and paper checks needed to buy it. They say they will be adding more advanced means shortly, I'll let you know how it works when that happens... PS: Agreed on Coinbase, too much time...
