As plane is flying and there is no more issue, this list is only to help BITMAIN how many people was affected.
Please do not count for anything from BITMAIN as originally issue wasn't his fault.
I think that IF he will issue coupons to affected people we should treat that as BONUS and not as "reimbursement".

BITMAIN thanks for hard work and once new sale will start i will make another order.

You missed me, mines on there as well.

If I have been help then please show your thanks         BTC: 127PRogAVZiV3fEmpJERh9KemK3a3Ffh6G         LTC: LXghFL8mZffpTFkm2nRTesuDrV5DJQP3Js

Come on Bitmain,

I received a Dead on Arrival (DOA) unit.  I relocated the controller board to the other blade and managed to get one of the blade working now.  I need a replacement/RMA for the other dead blade.  When I took off the fan and realized that i received an old, used, dust filled Antminer S1 worst than my vacuum cleaner.  I have sent you an e-mail and I see that you forwarded my e-mail to Sushi for support but so far I received no replay back.   I am losing mining time here.  Please help.

When I order, your website did not mention anything about  "old, used, or previously owned" miners, it never did say new either.  Guess it's live and learn on my part.

Here are some photos showing that's it's filled with dust.

For those who missed the explanation on the dust,

Dust on some S1 miners delivered recently:

Our testing farm is not dust free, so more or less our miner will have dust on it. They are all new miners. But as the testing farm is under construction, and lots of dust during the construction, so a miner which has been tested for only 24 hours there, will have dust on it. The dust does not mean it has been mined for months before we ship it out.  The construction has almost finished.

The PCB were produced in batch, and the same batch of PCB will be enough for 1 or 2 month production. The aging test usually lasts for 24 hours, some of them will stay in the testing farm for about 3~5 days.

The warranty is always the  90 days.

This doesn't make sense to me.  How do you explain that the AntMiner S1's I received were prefilled with Bitmain's own pool addresses on all 3 fields?

Well I would imagine that they have their own pool.  Whether it's live-net, or test-net-in-a-box.  Seems pretty straight forward to me.  They are also the default field values in the firmware.  If you use the reset button these fields automatically go back to the antminer values.  So even if the machine had never been switched on and connected to a mining pool/network you would still see those values there.

Respectfully, what alternative method do you recommend they use to test their products ?

It makes perfect sense to me, and I don't see what the problem is.

I made an order a little over an hour ago and paid it in full a couple of minutes later. However, no confirmation was shown in the order page, like it was never received. My payment now has 4 confirmations in my wallet, it went through quite a while ago, but the site failed to register it. Now the order is displayed as "Expired", even though I paid for it. I ordered from Bitmain a couple of times before and this is the first time this happened to me. Anyone else ran into this problem?

Before you ask, yes, I sent the BTC to the right address.

6 confirmations are required for most companies to consider the amount paid.

Guys, should be looking at the brightside of things.... Who cares if these are "used", so what, he made a killing off them before we did... all ASIC manufacturers do this.
these were never advertised as new, just in stock and ready to ship.
Should be grateful that we got a good price on them and that they work.

Quoting Bitmain, from Jan. 13:

"Hi all, we have sold out the testing batch. All the bought miners will be shipped no later than Wednesday, most likely Tuesday.

Now we only reserved some of the S1 only for testing antminer's mining pool. More Ants are being produced.

Thanks for your support, and we will open sales for another batch of miners in about 2~3 days, which will be shipped in 3~4 days from now. "

So you don't mind if your unit dies within the warranty period 'cos it's already been used for a few months before you get it ?

I had some dust in one of my machines fan, the other was pretty clean. They do have to test them you know. They also need to put in real connection details to do this. I don't see this as a big problem. It is just the nature of the business.

My first miner arrived totally clean. No dust. Nothing.

...I'm really hoping my other 3 arrive in the same condition.

Im also hoping this is just a case of... people only making a noise when something is wrong. Everyone with nice new and clean machines don't say anything. So the bad few are making the whole bunch look bad ...if ya get what I mean  Wink

Has anyone else had problems with fans working on the Antminers.  Specifically getting the rear fan port (male adaptor?) to work with a 4 pin fan?
