My biggest concern with this offer is your UGLY part. There are well respected GB managers who have been through thick and thin here. I am some of their biggest thorns in their collective asses. When DZ MC tried to pull the line, oh everything is hunky dory and just minor issues beyond our control (never mind 2-week earnings dropped by 75%), they got their asses handed down to them promptly. Despite all that, DZ MC is the BEST deal out here, hands down and the team has my utter respect for their staying power. How can I be "fine" with my investment if you are refusing to say what kind of experience you had and what your plan is to answer typical issues highlighted by others in this business? There was a question above, what happens when you do not get your hardware, what is your "HW late date" when you will refund all shareholders? What was your answer? I agree buddy... pre-order is a no-sense way for customers. If we think deep about pre-orders we can easy understand that we have allowed hardware manufacturers to sell machines before they even made ​​them!

When I placed my order I thought I could get more than 100%ROI, now I'm selling shares of m y investment...just cos I've understood that's a gamble!
When I placed my order global hashrate was less than 5k now over 16k.

When I decided to order from cointerra I knew that it was an high risk investment. I decided to risk to mine bitcoins, to get my ASIC and make moneys fast. Will it happen?

Now this all started in a renewed interest in bitcoin. I soon discovered the phenomenal profit people have made because of the jump since September 2013. I used to mine bitcoin years ago when the price was $18-$22. I feel out quickly because their wasn't many sites accepting it and the profit/powercost ratio simply wasn't adding up. Did I have many coins - No, I maybe had 3 before I gave up and that drive has been formatted many times since.

So I've been reading a lot lately, that's when I got read a real positive story about the new scrypt miners being built by alpha-t. I thought I was onto something and didn't want to lose any chance at being the first to make mega $$$. Then I started to understand about hashing rates again, and looked at the different miners/GPU card outputs. My next stop was the profitability mining calculator.

They are HIGHLY INNACURATE because the PROFITABILITY DECLINE is PURE BULLSHIT! The only site I have found that Is 80% honest is http://thegenesisblock.com/mining/
I quickly got over the hype of how fucking rich I was going to be, once I realized the TRUE profitability decline!!!

I now find it quite funny the extraordinary prices people are paying for miners on ebay, which is being flogged with used miners, only to be brought by fools who didn't bother to research deep enough to find THE FACTS!
heres a statement I found that hold true:
They'll advertise a price and delivery date that seemingly guarantee an excellent ROI, then they'll have 'problems' that push the delivery dates back: whilst what they actually will be doing, of course, is using the pre-ordered units to mine for themselves. Those units will be released when they no longer have a positive ROI.

In enterprise, 85% are BULLSHIT ARTISTS, and 15% ARE TRUE and HONEST PEOPLE, please use your intuition and don't let your emotions cloud your way to finding the truth!

OMG! Isn't that the idea, that we make several group buy's, in order to invest the money in btc? Here in germany the power is very expensive. At the moment I'm mining, but the ROI is getting lower and lower. I don't have the money for big miners with less power consumption. So, I invest in this and other group buy's and hope that Hashcesar84 and the other guys have future business plans than only for one time.

In cointerra's forum they talk about a delay of less of 1 month in January's batch and they told they will send an addictional terraminer of 2TH/s (March batch) for any miner ordered for January. Theoretically Febrary batch will be on time, if not, I'm sure that they will give me 2 addictional miners probably April Batch. I will share both with customers as percentage writen in the topic.

I'm convinced that, if delivery will be on time, this group buy will get a good ROI and easy.

I just saw the cointerra blog where they say that the early shipping units will <only> achieve 1.64-1.72 Th/s.  Also, my method above was slightly flawed because I computed ROI for someone buying the Terrahasher and operating it themselves, versus what is offered here which is a share of 2 Terrahashers with a management fee... so correcting my calculations:

I just saw the cointerra blog where they say that the early shipping units will <only> achieve 1.64-1.72 Th/s.  Also, my method above was slightly flawed because I computed ROI for someone buying the Terrahasher and operating it themselves, versus what is offered here which is a share of 2 Terrahashers with a management fee... so correcting my calculations:

For example http://www.middlecoin.com/, payout is in bitcoin.
Altough payout is higher, fee is higher too.
Also there is some extra downtime because you switch currency every x hours.
And I don't have any experience with multipools, so maybe it is better to stick to bitcoin untill no longer profitable and then experiment with some alt coins.

If you take a little bit of time to look at other hosted mining shares threads you will quickly discover that my examples are not exaggerations. Every single one of them had some or all of the examples I cited. Some of the managers quickly disappeared (along with money) and some stayed. The only hope we have is trust. Trust is generated by the users based on previous experience with people who demonstrated their ability to run projects like this one. I am one of the potential investors and I had to ask some questions. I participate in other programs and you can check my recent posts in those threads. The answers provided by the OP spiked a strong scam signal. Let's look at the facts, not promises:

1. A new user registered Jan 9, 2014 offers a hosted mining program with returns between 40% and 100%.
2. This user is not vetted by any other trusted source.
3. The user collects about 10BTC to date.
4. The user does not answer questions about his ability to run a hosted mining project.
5. ALL of this user's discussions revolve around two topics: when HW equipment will be delivered to him and profit calculations.

Based on these FACTS, not emotions and promises, how confident do you feel about your 10 shares?
Obviously it's your money and you can give it to charity. The due diligence I have done for MY money tell me that there is a high probability of loss on this investment. There is a chance that this guy from Italy will deliver on his promise. All I am saying is that there are telltale signs of either (A) scam or (B) incompetence.

All this witch hunt could be avoided if the OP explained his capabilities, e.g. picture of a garage/workshop with redundant powersupplies and backup, explain main network pipe and a backup wired or wireless, overall explain their technical expertise and experience. That's what OTHER PEOPLE do to persuade potential investors to part with their money (see an example here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=335145.0) . When problems happen (see examples here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=368000.msg4539626#msg4539626), investors can point to evidence and ask for explanations.

In this case it's just a word of an untrusted person that asks people to give him money.

In cointerra's forum they talk about a delay of less of 1 month in January's batch and they told they will send an addictional terraminer of 2TH/s (March batch) for any miner ordered for January. Theoretically Febrary batch will be on time, if not, I'm sure that they will give me 2 addictional miners probably April Batch. I will share both with customers as percentage writen in the topic.

It looks like Cointerra is offering Jan/Feb batch customers a CHOICE of (a) 15% off of an additional hardware order, OR (b) a full refund.

Hashcesar, I think you ought to find out from Cointerra where you (we) are in in the shipping queue.  If you are shipping in the next 2 weeks, they should know that by now.  Terraminer IV's have started shipping, but as you and I have discussed a late February/early March delivery will mean very minimal profit or possibly none depending on difficulty, given the decrease to 1.6 Gh/s in specs.  If it looks like delivery will not be until late February/early March, I would vote that you cancel the order and the GB and get the refund now from Cointerra.

In comparison, AMT (using the same A1 chips) has also started shipping and is giving out pretty good dates to customers with low order numbers.  So Cointerra should be able to give you a good idea at this point and I think you should decide based on that specific ship date, and the reduction in processing power, whether this GB (and your other Terraminer for that matter) makes sense still. 

Otherwise, if they cannot give you a date range it means your are more than 3 weeks away .. and that probably means this will not be very profitable given the 1.6 Gh/s reduction.  In that case, the sooner you cancel the faster you will get your money back (and you can use that to buy the AMT machine which even with new orders is saying 4-5 weeks from today!). 

Like you, I am still hopeful that Cointerra is going to delivery in the next couple of weeks and this could be a good GB; but the reduction in specs worries me and I think you ought to decide on a line in the sand for the delivery date, especially now that Cointerra is offering openly a full refund which is at your choice.

To BorisAlt, Hashceser has answered every question that has been put to him, including several in private emails where he has explained to my satisfaction his ability to handle the electrical loads of these power sucking machines.  If you wanted to be productive, I would suggest asking specific questions that Hashcesar can respond to rather than just assuming he is a scammer and demeaning him for not providing details that no one thought to ask him about.  He has been very forthcoming on all my questions.  Your questions are great, so why not just ask him to provide those details rather than assuming he won't???  Also, the bitcoinwisdom calculator has never been accurate in forecasting profit for my hashers, it is always overly pessimistic.  I don't have time to try to figure out what they are doing differently from other calculators, but I know that I have made more $ on my existing hashers than bitcoinwisdom's calculators predicted (disregarding increases due to fluctuation in BTC exchange rates); while the spreadsheet I use seems to be tracking very well to actual so I will stick with that.

Problem with flipping coins is that is no different than any other derivatives market.  I traded derivatives for several years.  Made a small fortune in trading mini S&P 500 futures.  I was made 500% profit in one trading day only about 6 hours.  However, I lost all of my profits on mini s&p 500 in one day (and, I mean all of my profits for an entire 2 year period, gone in one bad day).

Trading coins is no different.  You get stuck long when prices crash, and you lose more than you made in several months.  It will happen, it is fundamental econ of trading anything, unless you have some edge that no one else has.

Okay, fair enough since I have been burned too even recently by these crazy pre-order requirements and late shipments (or bankruptcy or disappearing sellers). BUT, Cointerra is legit and has a proven ability to deliver (on time so far).  And as I said before, Hashcesar seems to be pretty legit too -  any GB is a risk so sure he could flake out, but I know a lot more about him than I do about Black Arrow.  If Hashcesar turns out to be lazy, not serious, scammer, dishonest, etc. he is pretty easy to find as he has provided some personal information.  I still have no clue who Black Arrow is or who their owners are, and they have screwed me (us) a lot worse.

I don't know how more specific I can be.  Since I don't have access to your PMs there is no way for me to know what the answers are.  Answering these basic questions in a public thread will go a long way with reassuring his potential investors. I beg to differ that its the same as the normal stock market. In practise sure, you buy you sell, you can get stuck on a coin - for a day maybe that is!
This market is new, and at least for the next year, until we see who's survived, providing as I said that junk coins don't destabilize the market. I believe the odds are with you on making a tidy profit. How much profit depends on your knowledge (study) of the market X the amount you are willing to risk.
My point being its far less riskier than buying 1)Mining Hardware, 2) Mining shares in something nobody has in hand, and fundamentally should NOT be on offer unless you physically have the machine.

As topic says I've already got a miner and I think I know how to set up it easily. Plus I'm an eletrician and you don't have to worry about hosting, so I know that is not just a matter of plugging the power line . I build and assemble high-voltage electrical substations for work.

Hi, I think you are a good guy trying your best to divide the risk, but I think your ROI assumption is far to much positive, I've used 5 different online calculator and my average is different.
Anyway you did not even took into consideration that they will be at least 15% less powerful as the website states, nor adjusted the shares proportionally.
You did not assure us about security but only on your skill as electrician which we can assume are good.
I've read there is a second market for asic chip when they will become useless for mining, this doesn't mean it will be an easy sell but for 3.6th could be of some value I'm sure more then 2€
Anyway I'm out is too risky for the delivery & price factor

It is based on CoinTerra’s new GoldStrike I processor, which the company describes as the most powerful SHA256 ASIC ever released. Its peak performance stands at over 500 gigahashes per second on a 28nm chip, built by GlobalFoundries.

“Handing over the first TerraMiner marks a major milestone for CoinTerra. It goes to show that through hard work and determination with the right team in place, great things can be accomplished in an incredibly short timeframe,” said Ravi Iyengar, CEO of CoinTerra, Inc.

The GoldStrike I is said to be clocked at 1.4GHz and up to four will be used in TerraMiner units. The chips run at 0.765 volts and, since it uses the latest Globalfoundries 28nm high performance plus node, the unit should be rather efficient as well. The same process is used in AMD’s latest Kaveri processors, which launched earlier this month. This means miners are getting cutting edge technology, as 20nm high performance nodes are still unavailable. The first 20nm ASIC rig should be KnCMiner’s new Neptune, when it comes to market.

Manufacturing process

“We are delighted to be the silicon supplier and physical design house for CoinTerra’s industry leading TerraMiner platform,” said Asim Salim, VP Operations for Open-Silicon.

You can easy get a receipt without pay, just doing the order. What declare your order paid is the status that must be "processing".

I don't know if they really bought from them, is possible but is a little bit strange. It is based on CoinTerra’s new GoldStrike I processor, which the company describes as the most powerful SHA256 ASIC ever released. Its peak performance stands at over 500 gigahashes per second on a 28nm chip, built by GlobalFoundries.

“Handing over the first TerraMiner marks a major milestone for CoinTerra. It goes to show that through hard work and determination with the right team in place, great things can be accomplished in an incredibly short timeframe,” said Ravi Iyengar, CEO of CoinTerra, Inc.

The GoldStrike I is said to be clocked at 1.4GHz and up to four will be used in TerraMiner units. The chips run at 0.765 volts and, since it uses the latest Globalfoundries 28nm high performance plus node, the unit should be rather efficient as well. The same process is used in AMD’s latest Kaveri processors, which launched earlier this month. This means miners are getting cutting edge technology, as 20nm high performance nodes are still unavailable. The first 20nm ASIC rig should be KnCMiner’s new Neptune, when it comes to market.

Manufacturing process

“We are delighted to be the silicon supplier and physical design house for CoinTerra’s industry leading TerraMiner platform,” said Asim Salim, VP Operations for Open-Silicon.

“Manufactured on GlobalFoundries 28nm technology node, the silicon was delivered in a special custom package with testing completed in an unprecedented cycle time of 49 days from tapeout.”

Each TerraMiner IV rig features two PCBs with two GoldStrike I chips each. The rig employs two separate water cooling systems, one for each PCB. The heat exchangers feature three fans, while a couple of fans are mounted at the front of the rig to ensure plenty of airflow.

I would love to buy more shares in this GB, but what is stopping me is the possibility that this GB turns out to be a flameout.  I have already been scammed more than once (twice if you count Black Arrow as a scam, which I do at this point).  If you consider for a moment that companies with employees (Butterfly Labs, Black Arrow, etc.) can be scammers, then it is not a far stretch to see how someone like yourself, who starts out with good intentions, might end up flaming out.

I have urged you in PMs to do a few simple things that would put everyone's mind at ease.  These do NOT require escrow of money, which I know is something you are not comfortable doing.  Without rehashing the escrow discussion, I think you should consider taking the following steps which will certainly put my mind at ease.  All of these steps are merely to VERIFY that you are who you say you are, and that you have the orders you said you had in your name, and that you have planned for the future. 

(1) Contact a TRUSTED member of this forum and ask them if they will verify you.  Any "hero" member who has multiple positive trust reputation points and no negatives, is probably a good choice.  I suggest SebastianJu as I have dealt with him personally, but there are many others.  You can also look at the list of members who do escrows - NOT as escrow holders but just as a list of trusted members you can contact.  You can probably find someone who is Italian which will eliminate the language barrier.

(2) Provide whatever information that TRUSTED member requests for verification.  He or she will probably ask to see your passport or government ID, utility bill (to verify your address), and the order from Cointerra.  They may ask to be on a call with you to Cointerra to verify the order and order date.

(3) As the trusted member to post in this forum including what they were able to verify and how. 

(4) I think you could provide more details on how you are planning to handle the power requirements of the two miners, and the network access.  Each miner will need its own circuit most likley. So have you run independent circuits to a room already?  Are you doing that yourself if its not done already?  How many amps do you have on your panel?  Simple questions for an electrician to answer but it will tell everyone you have thought this out.  Similar questions for network access.  What kind of internet connection do you have (DSL, Cable)?  How are you planning to bring the internet access to the same room as the miners (hard wire cat6?  wireless?)?  Do you have a good firewall with stateful inspection and DDOS prevention (to prevent DDOS and other attacks that have plagued some miners?)

I'm new here and I'm starting a group buy of the latest 29th/s miners! They are a little bigger than a refrigerator (the chip is the size of a loaf of bread, this then goes inside

It's unfortunate but I saw this coming many many (did I mention many?) pages ago when he came on baiting people.
The guy did a fast job cleaning that wallet out! Never to be heard from again I'm sure (well under that name anyway)!

The only way for certain to make the bitcoin and the money is to mine it yourself. I just bought 20 units of Antminer s-1's (6 of these)and
avalon 230gh/s (14 of these) from Semtong in China.

I have a cube farm going right now with 10 of those and it doesn't make enough at 38gh/s on them. (Although they do overclock and without any problems
that one might think they would have). However the heat these little cubes make is killing me! 3 of them in this room feel like 3 furnace ducts that never turn off!
The room with the other 7 is equal to standing in hell with a snowmobile suit on!

 Back to the matter at hand... The next time someone comes out of the blue and offers to sell you a share in equipment that he is getting, or anyone that's
trying to sell you anything on a forum where you don't know the people, then sit on your hands and think about it. Then think some more. Then.... for the REAL stupid
ones out there (those that have been taken more than 1 time in the last 48 to 96 hours by some other crooks), well you need to immediately rip the cords out of the pc,
get in the car, drive to a park, but half way there throw your cell phone out the window of the moving vehicle, then get out of the car, walk into the forest-park area
and sit down. Now say to yourself out loud... "I will not fall for this again...I will not fall for this again..." and continue this for...oh...lets say the next 4 hours!

After 4 hours you should be over it. If your not, there's nothing much you can do since you threw your phone away and your computer was ripped out of the wall so you CAN'T fall for it again!

If in some manor you find a way to actually get back online to do it again, then I suggest you BUY HEAVY! Yep, Spend every dime you have! Since going about trying to save you money didn't quite work,and stopping you from getting back on the internet to fall for it again didn't work either! However by you spending every last dime you have WILL WORK since you have nothing else left to lose after that and your problem has been solved! (Although you will probably be looking for a place to live and you might have to pay the lawyers fees when your wife files for divorce!

I'm thinking of starting a help group of "Miners Anonymous"! People that can't quite help themselves from falling for the scams of others. The ones that fell for hashceasar84 can have the front seats! Those of you that spend money on equipment from companies that just listed themselves as a manufacturer can have the middle ones, and the people that buy 10 pc's, 25- fifty port usb hubs, and 500+ USB miners with the hopes of getting rich have earned the back seats since although they tried, they didn't try hard enough and do their homework before buying complete junk to lose money with.

Front row center will be the guy that replies asking where to send the bitcoin to reserve the front row center seat! lol.

So hopefully now those of you that got stung on this one can sit back and watch the next set of clowns walk up and do the same thing you just did since as they say...There's one born every minute and in Bitcoin you can TRIPLE THAT!
