Hey guys, potential investor here but I have some questions first...

I would like to know when your anonymous functions will be fully operational and stable, and I would like to know that there is definitely progress in your work.  I can't just take your word for it, I'm sure you understand.  Lots of scammers out there... you know how it is.

Also I need to see the source code for proof.  I understand that the checkblock function can still cause major forking issues and I want to make sure that has been cleared up aside from disabling it.

Lots of answers to many questions http://wiki.darkcoin.eu/wiki/FAQ
Edit: also If you want to ask the dev something try https://darkcointalk.org

Anonymous functions work now, just with a 10 DRK limit until RC4 is released.

Latest development update, including tentative schedule: https://darkcointalk.org/threads/development-update-6-6-2014-masternode-payments.1126/

To see the actual work currently being done: https://darkcointalk.org/threads/help-test-rc2-forking-issues.1009/

Darksend is closed source while it's in development. Once it's finished, it will be open sourced. The rest of Darkcoin is open source: https://github.com/darkcoinproject/darkcoin

Yes he post here all the time but we prefer him working on darksend not hanging out in the forums all day so you have to forgive him if he does not read every post within 5 mins

not often, usually just for updates. He's very active with the people testing on test net though, try darkcointalk if you really want a direct contact and are in a hurry

i'm not offended, just upset that most people investing money into cryptos are seemingly incapable of finding out publicly available information by themselves.

the dev posts here and on darkcointalk as eduffield. you can see his input in all three of those threads and read his most recent posts here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=107946;sa=showPosts

Well obviously you didn't read the links since then you would know that he is replying on darkcointalk or on IRC. Go there. Or read the links where the dev says how it is, so you don't need to ask the questions the community already pointed out where to find for you.

So how do you know the reasons for the delay are real? Is the dev using the delay to dump coins? Seems to be a lot of open issues at the moment for a mature coin.

because there are other hands besides the main developer working out the network's kinks. honestly, the development is completely transparent, and the source code itself will become transparent once it's perfected. if you don't believe in evan's passion behind this project and want a quick buck, turn a blind eye and look into other coins. this is experimental technology with a long-term development schedule.

What makes you make this perfect judgement on what a mature coin is? Darkcoin is still in infancy. They are a lot of people working with the dev testing 24/7 or what not. Go to the chat and forums to get your own piece of insurance. If the dev tells you personally that it is not a scam, will that make you feel safer?

Artoodeetoo is a troll and an XC supporter he is just trying, unsuccessfully, to create FUD. He doesn’t realize DRK is way beyond the point where that mattered at all.

EDIT: The reason he is angry is because he feels Chaeplins scrutiny of their coin proving it is a poor implementation at best is FUD, but chaeplin always backs up his claims with examples and transactions from the blockchain so in reality is just solid feedback. They should appreciate that kind of feedback but sometimes is hard to deal with reality.

Now you can own a 10% minimum (100drk)  stake in a Masternode

LOL this isn't FUD. Come on. FUD takes skill.

I don't understand why folks don't click on profile and see past posts for some of these clowns. It is not that hard. Start growing some level of indifference. Don't have to respond to trolls, thread needs to get out of this mode.

I admit that XC is another crypto that I'm seriously considering investing in.  One thing that I noticed when I was in the XC thread is that a lot of darkcoin people are posting there.  It's pretty strange.

Was in response to an issue found recently by chaeplin. Can't confirm it really at this point myself.
I was trying to get some information to look into it myself.

They are really defensive though and don't have the materials yet so it's hard to really get any info.

This is very interesting right here

Maybe Evan or InternetApe could talk and offer him to be part of the code audit after RC4. He is very interested in anonymity and for sure we can get a very valued an unbiased analysis from him.

He reads this thread all the time (Hi Chris  Wink) The only downside is that he mines, or used to mine, Anoncoin.  Still, he would be a good code auditor.

But this code audit thing, it is necessary, but it really is only a temporary issue.

The nature of open source code is that every man and his cat will be going through the code.  The competition will be there first - these guys are where the code auditing feedback really counts because they will get the biggest megaphone to shout down the DRK one if there are problems, and keep deadly quiet except for the instamine FUD if there is nothing but sweetness, light and kick-ass code kung-fu from Evan-san.

Well he needs to add Darkcoin to his page  Grin http://anonymousbitcoinbook.com/pages/donate

Artoodeetoo is a troll and an XC supporter he is just trying, unsuccessfully, to create FUD. He doesn’t realize DRK is way beyond the point where that mattered at all.

I admit that XC is another crypto that I'm seriously considering investing in.  One thing that I noticed when I was in the XC thread is that a lot of darkcoin people are posting there.  It's pretty strange.

I think what you meant to say is that you are an XC bagholder and you are spamming here posing as a potential "investor".

Here are a couple of gems from your posting history:

Please be very careful with the source code!  The DRK people WILL rip it off, while keeping their source code secret.  If they ask why they can't see XC's source, ask them why nobody can see theirs.

Chaeplin's github repo, for example:
https://github.com/chaeplin?tab=activity

Note: he's not actually a dev for them, as much as he wishes to be.

Stop!!!  I'm trying to buy more and you're not helping.   Cheesy

PUMP THIS B*TCH

Is there any wonder why Evan wouldn't waste his time answering the queries of any potential "investors" that come along demanding to hear from the dev himself?

edit: hear, not here
