I lost some confidence on this coin and sold part of our investment.
delays and delays remember me so many products that fail at the end. A basic thing like a MN vote failure, detected by someone outside the developer network, generate many "it will go down...".
less than 24 hours later, "everything is fine, it will go up...".
Tomorrow another tester will find a new bug (that's normal on any new platform), and repeat again, delay, dump, pump, dump.
You only feel like this because you didn't follow DRK for longer time. Tech. behind a coin development with this kind of features will take time as it already had over the past months. Reed pages from 200 ... 900 and you mostly find only tech. related stuff that brought DRK to where it is now. If you follow DRK since around 4 .. 6 weeks from now you only find more bullshit and fight against the FUD than anything else. You have to live with the price hopping now. Remove your coins from exchanges and you will not be able to take panic decission. Other new coins promising anything anon related will fail because the didn't had the time in the past and they will not be able to deliver anything. Show me another altcoin and devteam with soo much testing and testnet and the tech related community in the background. All other only want to make the quick profit on this they can't deliver. The strenght of DRK in the past should be enough to have long term confidence. With the current marketcap Devteam can't play right now with DRK and they try to go the safer way that needs more time but way is clear. They deliverd in the past and they will in future. |

Who cares about instamining? Not me. Still better than IPO or premine if you ask me. All I care is who are those investors that are doing such a good job in promoting this coin. Bitcoin has its Winklevosses, Karl Gray, Second Market, some Indian dude, Chinese big investors... what about Darkcoin? But I guess I'm a troll spreading FUD because I dare to mention those 1,7m coins that were so quickly distributed  |

Exactly I couldn't give a shit if the first in were the first served. I hope they got a lot since they took a chance, especially the devs. And if you complain because it was linux only at the start, quit bitching and download ubuntu, its free and not hard. DarkCoin is such a joke--so many fanboys that don't even understand the tech and only are attracted by the name. All hype! It was 50% "premined" in the first 48 hours due to a botched "mining difficulty adjustment". Half the current coins were mined in 48 hours. The fork was just a bump in the road. DarkCoin may or may not be anonymous, as you can't see the code since it is closed source. YES...the MAIN FEATURE, DARKSEND, that is responsible for the anonymous nature is CLOSED SOURCE. Might as well be named HoneyPotCoin. It could literally be doing anything...do you trust people or an algorithm? Clearly DarkCoin fanboys trust people over algo. Edit: it's also pretty obvious Darksend IS anonymous, because we have this thing called a blockchain where, you know, records are kept, and it shows that it is anonymous. So unless the masternodes are sending records of their mixing to some central location for record-keeping, it's fairly private/anonymous (even if they were, that'd have nothing to do with whether the tech works, it'd just mean Evan is a jerk working for the NSA or something). Extra edit: obviously, if you are really desiring to send something anonymously, and REALLY need to be sure it is, don't use Darksend until it's open sourced. |

I'm pretty sure no one takes the "instamine" fud as a genuine concern. My logic on the instamine issue: Were a bunch of coins mined at first very quickly? Yes. Do we really know for sure they were well distributed? No, although there is some evidence that suggests that. Here's why it doesn't really matter to me: Anyone sitting on a big stash who hasn't dumped at this point is likely going to be holding out for a much higher price (or plans on running masternodes for years to come lol). Anyone not holding out would have surely dumped by now.... the longer time goes on, the more this becomes true. I don't know how much lower this will go, but it will bottom out (all dumpers done dumped), and I think it's very unlikely that any early large holders will dump much below the previous ATH, if at all, as long as this coin stays alive and maintains good prospects for the future. It's a non-issue as far as I can see... though I am new to DRK, cryptos, and financial markets, and my logic is frequently flawed  |
