The last few minutes just saw a jolt to the upside in the Bitcoin / USD market. Big buys going through on Bitstsmp.

Looks like bearish sentiment is giving way all round. Bitcoin's already tested it's lows a few times now. That price looks hard packed and looks like invoking nervous trading during rises (i.e. traders getting less sure it's coming back down on each rise, so increasingly going long).

Expect the same the DRK market. There are a lot if parallels - not least the massive ground-refuelling in fundamentals that's gone on during the last few months in both markets. The words coiled spring sound appropriate.

Refuelling is nearing completion and flight plans filed. Take off clearances are being issued.

I don't expect any moonshots just yet but equally, I think we've washed out much of the bearish sentiment. If you don't bat an eyelid at anything else, just check out this 1 notable fact:

It survived the consolidation ("dump") phase, the fud, the new competitors that were going to "blow us away" and retained its top-10 market cap throughout. Not only that, we're nearly back with a 5-factor lead over the nearest anon-coin competitor in market cap terms (and that's with the valuation hard packed).

In short, DRK has fulfilled a "rights of passage" period that is crucial to any project like this - both commercially and technically.

A couple of months ago I was prepared for this to go either way. I now think that Darkcoin is in an incredibly strong position both technically and commercially with its 2-tier privacy approach.

It's no accident that volume is returning to this market.

I don't always agree with you tokobro, but I'm completely feeling the same on these matters - bears are breathless on bitcoin, and dark coin earned its rights on the big boy's playground.

I'm also enjoying watching LTC sell off down to the 0.01 level which I have my doubts will hold. I see .0097-.0098 and then a retest of the lows back at 0.0079-0.008.

this happens from time to time but i never had any real problems with them.  coins always go to my wallet.

if it takes more than 3 hours or so, contact them.  for now, just be patient.

Chart on top is a very small snippet from another asset's chart where I have seen this pattern DRK is in before. DRK chart for last 24 hours or so is on bottom. The referencing chart on top isn't to be used as a direct perfect picture of the future but is a general guideline.

And in general it's saying that we've got a little more rally left but are going to do a short-term top in the lower-.008 region in the next 24-48 hours and then proceed to consolidate, perhaps in a triangular pattern for 2-5 days before.....

All I'll say is I've just sent in a bunch of fiat and have locked in these soon-to-be-ridiculously low prices.
I might post the next small snippet next week. We'll see.

We're now about halfway between those first two vertical gray time-lines, which means we have one more good rally ahead of us, probably to .0084 is my guess.
Don't think we've seen short-term top yet before 2-5 day consolidation begins.

this happens from time to time but i never had any real problems with them.  coins always go to my wallet.

if it takes more than 3 hours or so, contact them.  for now, just be patient.

can take 12-24 hrs if there is some big activity on large in / out positions. they have manual security checks

It's interesting isn't it. I've been referring to this past couple of months where DRK's price has been so suppressed (and kept going down every time Evan released something new!) as the "crypto winter"; a period of extraordinary lack of inspiration or motivation by investors and more people heading for the exits than taking an interest or position. And the MintGox/RyAlex KenGreen disaster hasn't helped at all either.

But maybe the phenomena we've witnessed of LTC continuing on through this period relatively unscathed even though it has virtually nothing to offer in terms of innovation or value, is simply a "safe-haven" aspect of this period and now that circulation back through the veins of the anaemic crypto body has recommenced LTC will lose it's status and funds will move-on to greener and more exciting pastures.

I certainly hope so (and everyone who's hung in here supporting DRK and the extraordinary work by Evan and the team that's been/is being done, deserve success).

That market has started rallying again.

I thought that last high of 85 was going to be it but the action's just sparked up again and we're already up to the 2nd biggest 15 minute volume spike for several hours.
