Well, I was scared but I did my very first MasterNode update, thanks to Tao's guide. https://darkcointalk.org/threads/taos-masternode-setup-guide-for-dummies.2680/#post-25672
Afterwards I checked on https://drk.mn/masternodes.html and I saw mine was up and running.

This is how I feel.

Lots of masternodes showing as "Partially Unlisted" ... is that normal?  My IP (Amazon AWS) went unresponsive for a while...then I stopped, and started everything back up.

i noticed a few days ago that someone took down ~50 masternodes. seems weird, maybe they just got tired of updating them all the time, i know i did. i turned all mine over to flare who has done a great job managing them.

oh i think those masternodes may have something to do with the new "start-many" feature. they are probably just consolidating them into one wallet. i bet that's it.

https://darkcointalk.org/threads/v10-16-onyx-v2.2982/

Due to some issues that were brought up by a researcher, we've revised the Darksend protocol extensively to enhance the anonymity provided. It's very important that all clients on the Darkcoin network update.

Users Required To Update:

Pools
Exchanges
Darksend Users
Normal Clients
Masternodes

Changes made in this release:

- Masternodes can now make a limited number of zero-fee transaction for Darksend. These are special transactions that require a signature that only the masternodes can create.
- Darksend now has no fees to track what-so-ever, all that will ever be in Darksend transactions are Darksend denominations.
- Added queue gaming protection
- Clients remember which masternodes they've connected to in the past and won't use them against.
- Dsee/Dseep messages have been fixed so they only take newer signatures than the one they have
- 2 different kinds of client crashes have been fixed
- Split up main.cpp into core.cpp
- Split up darksend.cpp into masternode.cpp, activemasternode.cpp and instantx.cpp
- Added modular ProcessMessages for Darksend, Masternodes and InstantX
- Client can now join sessions with any other users

cool coool cool!

Wow! Wow! Wow!... It now costs nothing to use Darksend.

Let me repeat that... you can now be anonymous at no cost!

Unfortunately Evan seems to have forgotten to explain the new fee structure! Darksend is not free, you will be charged a miner's fee "randomly" paid directly to the miners. I hope he will get back to us and explain this more thoroughly!

i think they are having problems with the masternodes on this update so people may need to hold off but i don't know for sure what is happening. thank god i turned mine over to flare to deal with.
also, they say bct is being hit with a dos attack. i was wondering where everyone went.

Yes, there is a memory leak in this version that causes massive resource uptake before the inevitable crash.

How massive? I'm just wondering if my VPS can handle it or should I wait for a fix.

so there's gotta be a way to see how many anonymized coins vs non-anon coins you have right? this wallet needs a coincontrol feature or something

That's what Darksend balance is..those are the anonymized coins.  And there is also coincontrol when you send...just click "Inputs".

hmmm maybe there is no "inputs" button on the mac client... there is a tab to send from anon or non-anon funds... and now that you mention it there is a section on the main screen that shows you the darksend balance. I must've overlooked it as it is all zeros currently >> cuz this mixer takes forrrreverrrrr

very massive. my nodes were trying to grab over 6 gigs of ram each. the nodes also won't always come up, it throws the "not capable masternode" error.

It also consumes a lot of cpu since the .16.5, enough to crash most of the vps the nodes runs on. I also saw a massive uptake in bandwidth being thrown out of the wallets earlier.

My masternode just keeps turning its self off.
I have to keep restarting it?

See above, seems to be memory leak issue wich causes the MN to crash.
