If in fact DRK had been adopted as the anonymous king then it would have failed miserably as soon as the Gov wanted it to and it would have become worthless in one fell swoop

I don't agree with this point of view at all....

This point will not be agreed on even though any cryptographer will tell you the same.

A KIND REMINDER TO ALL MEMBERS. -  Please do not engage or quote known Trolls and Fudters!

IE. Adam White and iCEBREAKER.

This!

Also don't remember to report everyone who claims something without proofs!

These fudsters are probably paid and hired by our competitors to catch through lies potential investors to feed their pumps.

This point will not be agreed on even though any cryptographer will tell you the same.

It's not a question of cryptography nor the "view of cryptographers", it's a question of monetary suitability.

Cryptographers have done their job in ivory university towers and software developers are free to choose from a menu of options available to them across the board that best suit the task at hand. Contrary to the agenda that some people round these parts are trying to push, the "task at hand" isn't trying to hide from the NSA. It's producing an electronic token of solid practical, monetary and convenience value.

They are IBM, we are Dash ... sound terribly familiar? History repeating?

IBM Rumored to Be Developing Bitcoin Alternative

"We are at a tipping point right now," the source continued. "It's making a lot more sense for some type of digital cash in the system, that not only saves our government money, but also is a lot more convenient and secure for individuals to use."

before i'm going to sleep..here is some nice read for you guys.
You are going to need to come up with something more unique than Dash, since Dashcoin already exists and other people will confuse it for this or simply call it dashcoin anyway!
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=678232.0

There are thousands of failed altcoin projects by now, the names are starting to be like old domain names. The development team acquired the rights to the name from a small abandoned crypto project "Dashcoin" although it was never intended to use the suffix "coin".

Thus we are now DASH, but thanks for watching our backs, it is all taken care of though.

day 1

person a: what is DASH?

dark guy: digital cash..etc. etc.

person a: what is digital cash?

dark guy: well.....it is a cryptocurrency like bitcoin and litecoin

person a: so it is a coin?

dark guy:...yyyyyyes..

day 2

person a: hey person b i heard there is a coin out there named DASH, it claims to be anonymous etc.

person b: so how much is this DASH coin? a piece?..

person a: 3 bucks..... (person b buys)

day 3

person b: hey person c i bought some DASHcoin it is 3 bucks a piece, bought 10..that's 30 bucks   Cheesy

person c: WHAT! fucking rip off...i bought 10 million dashcoins for 1$ at poloniex.com

LOL

the original dashcoin logo

proposed DASH

the original dashcoin logo

Don't know about the "original" part. That's actually the Icelandic letter "eth".

I don't believe I have argued against this point at all in any of my posts, if I have please point that post out. I personally believe there are various uses for variously tailored forms of v-currency.

If you are just saying this to argue against me then that is referred to as a logical fallacy specifically a "Red Herring".

i tried the ignore button on AdamWhite just to get a sense of the feeling it would provide and i gotta say guys its like
drinking your first coffee on a monday morning after having done some heavy drinking in the weekend before.

The only thing i struggled with was perhaps missing out on his intelligent, witty and entertaining posts after hitting
the ignore button once and for all

One of the great entertainments is reading the troll posts (and various other provocations)

A thread with harmony and no dissent (including imbeciles) induces no indignation and emotion (boring)

I don't believe I have argued against this point at all in any of my posts

I'm of the opinion that the dev has picked the *right* anonymity approach to suit all those monetary priorities.

Your stating that the basis for the rebranding is because the dev picked the "wrong" anonymity approach and that it can't stand on its merits as the leading "anonymity currency". But what you miss from your case is that before it can stand on its merits as an "anonymous currency" it needs to stand on its merits as a "currency" in the first place.

C'mon girls, all together now... Lets dash with the Dash to the DASH yyyiiiippeeeee woooo !! "

Kanye sued Coinye.  Kim K. likely has nothing to do with a crypto called Dash but she might be just as willing to fight for her trademark.  My post was a joke pointing out the poor name choice.  Wink

Coinye was a crypto for Kanye fans. They were using his face as logo.
