From what we can tell there's a uncommon condition on the network (seems to be about 1 in 10 clients), where some databases have became corrupt. Please check your logs for these messages:

--

2015-02-15 17:34:26 ERROR: ReadBlockFromDisk : Deserialize or I/O error - ReadCompactSize() : size too large
OR
2015-02-15 17:34:26 ERROR: ReadBlockFromDisk : Errors in block header

---

If you find entries like that delete ~/.darkcoin/blocks and chainstate, then resync from the bootstrap:

https://github.com/UdjinM6/darkcoin-bootstrap

Thanks  Smiley

bump

How to resync from bootstrap? Does it also need the cold wallet start?

In summary, the Intel Management Engine and its applications are a backdoor with total access to and control over the rest of the PC. The ME is a threat to freedom, security, and privacy, and the libreboot project strongly recommends avoiding it entirely. Since recent versions of it can’t be removed, this means avoiding all recent generations of Intel hardware. details https://libreboot.org/faq.html#intelme --- https://tehnoetic.com/laptops --- https://store.vikings.net/x200-ryf-certfied

Bitcoin mixing makes for nice artwork.

Right, everyone pick a node and follow this mother till they start consolidating again. Win a 720 BTC bounty !

https://blockchain.info/tree/77696250

That is really kind of fun. I found a couple of forks, that ended up sending them to the same address here: https://blockchain.info/address/1GBaPdA22TvGGpbN3reNJc8q55618o6yHZ (It's only up to 5.5btc)

Edit: Also: https://blockchain.info/address/3KJGtFJ7XnXpimppxEw22PjKKZ53WPSUEb (looks like it's just sitting there, in an address with a 3, that's usually multisig right?) ~16 BTC

Edit 2: This one may be, but I kind of lost track, looking on blockchain.info with it https://blockchain.info/address/3G3VpVD6fJs1Usg52zB8LToy1pHzDHC4a2 (another 3 address, and showed up a few more times) ~143 BTC

Edit 3: https://blockchain.info/address/3MtoT3LeUHHdxdwCnH7kyecBHeqRJybLFD (another 3 address) ~179 BTC

so far i can tell 7000 BTC is resting in these 7 wallets (each 1000 BTC) and the rest (170 BTC) has been mixed further down in smaller and smaller amounts..

yeah its weird that the thief isnt touching those 7000 any further, maybe he is using it as leverage with BTER ? returning them to BTER for a certain price ?
tbh i dont know what to think about it.

Couldn't they just return it themselves for the bounty, if they wanted to?

Thinking of buying more Darkcoin's, feels like it will get a boost up. I watched it settle for a while around .006 and all the weak hands are washed out during that time; with the current rise up to .016 looks like new holders are holding + traders alrdy sold for a bit of profit or old times trying to get even.

This might actually be the new .006 but I am probably wrong.

Didn't otoh put there a wall few days ago?
Shit  Undecided

I wonder what DRK would do without this otoh???  Cheesy
A smartest question would be "Why Otho is so heavily interested in Darkcoin?"
Get you it ?

An even better question is "Who is buying all these DRKs, ahead of Otoh's walls?". We are talking thousands and thousands of DRKs sweeped by that buyer.

"All wallets have been shut down and withdrawals of the unaffected coins will be arranged later."

You should be ok. If the only funds stolen are the 7170 BTC they've reported, you should be able to get your DRK back.

yes, if you are not a daytrader its best to get in and out of exchanges as fast as possible and make regular backups
of your wallet (and also encrypt them). Also if you use exchanges make sure you enable 2FA on your account for extra security.
