I think I can speak for most people who have been here since Jan-Feb 2014 when I say, there's nothing that can faze us anymore.
That's one of the concerns I have. In some respects, a cult-like following is emerging. When your leader can do no wrong, you are not being objective. There's nothing wrong with believing in your dev team--especially as they continue to deliver. Further, you can certainly remain objective. Lastly, the whole project no longer hinges on one man. Unless you are physically contributing code yourself, you're going to have to put some trust in those coding away (a team that has been pretty open about their identities). I think your response is entirely valid and appropriate oblox. But I do think MyFarm raises a very important observance of a phenomena that's here in Darkcoin and many other crypto projects. We're very fortunate that we appear to have a lead dev that's somewhat impervious to all the glowing fanboy love that's showered on him (and I'm not for an instant suggesting Evan shouldn't be praised or given accolades for what he's achieved and continues to achieve) but there is massive amounts of confirmation bias at work in the many interactions between us all. For the project to become really robust and shock-proof this aspect of it needs to mature, which I believe it will, but more discussion on these psychological phenomena is required.

"....but more discussion on these psychological phenomena is required." oh god, please no. Anything but that. It's simple. Go out to work. Get paid. Buy Darkcoin. If you feel the urge to spend some of your money on, say, a present for your better half or food for the kids, then you're ok. If you think about spending money on other things and decide to spend your money on DRK anyway, then you have reached cult follower status. You will probably die rich, alone and very happy. Thanks coins, you rock!

For sure it would be an interesting discussion, but one without any results. BTW, what happened to Bitcoin when Satoshi left?

So that no man might buy or sell unless they co-operate. No thanks. I use Darkcoins

Can someone make a meme with this subject? I'd love to tweet it! EDIT: I really enjoyed a lot of the replies, though. It seems other people's arrogance detectors were also working...

Looks like the new bitcoin bilderberger elite, while they are still thinking bitcoin 2.0 is a quirky new idea, the Darkcoin team skipped part 2 and went straight to part 3 to save time!

Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release. Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5% Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1) = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

Heh, amazing what $75 million or whatever it was of VC funding will do to someone. Also, someone please explain to me how a 'side chain' is functionally different from an 'alt coin.'
