The Dash rebranding is by comparison absolutely brilliant.
You mean brilliantly criminous?? Like secretly buying an unrelated genuine cryptonote project and shutting it down only to steal the name? I ignored darkcoin before, now I just hate it. What is "criminous" about buying name rights (not stealing)? The foundation legally obtained the name rights, which is the opposite of the definition of a criminal. It was also not done in secret. The community was allowed to debate, it was clear that the previously floated name of Dash was the preferred name by the community, and the foundation did what I think most anyone would agree was the prudent thing and secured said name rights. The alternative was letting the community debate ad nauseum a decision it had clearly already formed a consensus around. Would you rather have a foundation that acted, or one that attempts to make every single community member happy (impossible I might add)? I for one actually appreciate the fact that Evan and the Foundation do what they think is best based on the input of the community in a timely fashion. They are acting like the scrappy start up that we are, and are doing a great job. The "unrelated cryptonote project" was made an offer and accepted it. No one forced anyone's hands. |

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

I would suggest that we ignore these few individuals. Let them make noise into an empty room. It's helped a lot by one by one putting these people on ignore. It works well. I wouldn't even worry about anyone putting weight to what these individuals say. No one who is looking seriously into adopting Dash or any crypto would take the word of these people seriously. Picture it this way... It's like the homeless/crazy people in your local city screaming on the the street corner... No one pays attention.

I thought the LTB interview went exceptionally well.
Yup, really great !! Yer I particularly liked the part where says the bitcoin network has 5% of the nodes spying and logging every transaction that passes through them, and then gives Dash's alternative 2 tier method using the Masternodes in order to bounce a transaction via a random Masternode. And also using 2 factor authentication at the protocol level to lock a transaction inside the masternode network until signed and released, sounds almost like a fast track decentralized crypto piggy bank, just have to wait 4 seconds for withdrawals  |
Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release.

I also agree. Our winery is also in the same position, in as we continually to get more and more accolades and great exposure... The more our local competition is starting to sling mud our way behind our backs. It's the human condition...and I'm resigned that it will never change. But that mudslinging has a unexpected result... We keep getting more and more clients that because of the mudslinging... Have come to try our wines. And their word of mouth discrediting the mudslingers is golden marketing.  |

I have played around with the hashtag #DASH, and there is far too much noise in that Twitter feed to use it effectively to get our news and info out properly.
As such, I have looked into hashtag usage, and I have concluded that the hashtag #DashDC is perfect due to our name DASH - Digital Cash, and due to the fact it has minimal noise (only 5 tweets since October).
I will be using this hashtag, and I propose that it be made the default.
