Dear all, if you are new here. This thread is enjoyable but infested with trolls. They are nice to play with and help to promote Dash. For intelligent discussions, help with setups, road maps, guides go to dashtalk.org+1000 bump CAUTION!!!!!!!!! You will never get any truth over there. The gigantic circlejerk thats going on over at dashtalk.org can be hazardous to your health. A forced custom change address that you can specify in dash.conf is a really great idea.* PM Evan about it and tell him it's A-OK with crouton.  * For ease of use and disaster-prevention that is, for privacy it's a terrible idea, but many don't care and it's nice to have options. I LIKE IT !!! I few commands in dash.conf to place DASH in a locked state AND a custom change address Would make my life a little easier but c/would also create complacency and "unintended errors" Well, yes and no. Sure it could be exploited, someone could rogue a config file in anyone's system, but that is also true for a keylogger or scripted trickery. On the other hand, interesting things, you could set a change address to be a paper wallet for instance... Could be super cool, imagine at the end of each month you consolidate your wallet back to 1 address, but only send 90% of it, and 10% would go into a saving's address. Or, make multiple core backups and do an emergency rescue of funds (say if your funds are at immediate risk), or, like I almost did, a failsafe for backups like I mentioned it that thread. Damn, crypto's are absolutely fascinating... |

One of the main reasons The Foundation's members were pushing for re-branding were "certain exchanges" and "some retailers" that were adamant "We will never accept this coin as long as it is called Darkcoin."
Well, R.I.P. Darkcoin, so I wonder, what is the progress with these "exchanges" and "retailers," are they going to accept Dash now or was that just a ruse? Does anyone know about any REAL progress with some of the REAL businesses that were not going to accept Darkcoin but might Dash? Are they going to do it or not?
I am curious...
I am a specialty coffee shop owner. I'll accept dash after dash have an official mobile wallet. No way for darkcoin, I can not explain it to my customers. That's great ! Im a big fan of coffee  My coffee shop is in istanbul. Come and have a great coffee. |

Of course if he loses he'd lose 1k of Dash... how was that any different than you playing with large numbers in dice? Hey, not criticising at all. But in dice, you bet 1 and lose, tough luck. If you win, you get double 2x. Here he bet 1, but only wins 1.11, if he loses, he loses 1. I tried dice at my own discretion to try the platform, won a few, lost another, won a lot, lost a lot, an quit while I was ahead. Seems "fair" as a game, even with the house edge. Here, I dont think the gamble is worth the potential gains, thats all. Like I said, I dont get gambling, that is why I dont keep at it. |

JL let it sync, I had similar situation where it looked stuck but after about 45 min went fast to some weeks only... |

JL let it sync, I had similar situation where it looked stuck but after about 45 min went fast to some weeks only... You sure? I can't even get block #1. Wondering if it's something on my end.
