If you look carefully at the bitcoin block size chart here, https://blockchain.info/charts/blocks-size?timespan=all&showDataPoints=false&daysAverageString=1&show_header=true&scale=0&address=You will see that the trend is slightly exponential and accelerating, meaning it is not a linear straight line, so the size is NOT tracking Moore's Law. Assuming a doubling of hard drive capacity every 18 months and a doubling of the blocksize every 12 months (2.05 times precisely), the conclusion is there will be hard drive capacity to blocksize divergence. Taken to the extreme, when the storage size reaches physical atomic size scaling limitations, this will indicate the final breakdown point ..

Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release. Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5% Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1) = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

Interesting comparison. Once the 1MB limit is reached, would the blockchain size increase not be more linear thereafter?

Look! Monero's price is tumbling down!
People are dumping it.
Now as bad as SDC... Wow. All those coins that poloniex has to buy to prop up their 'investment' in smooth coin. Until they move from Alpha to beta, and actually have a use case, its not an anonymity coin, its an obscurity coin. The emission curve is too big for something with no practical use. If they spent less time trolling the threads, that energy could be used to get people to use XMR - which is already an uphill challenge. How many merchants would wait weeks for their payment system to start up?

So iCEBREAKER is acutally Eduardo deCastro? Now he's here trolling DASH? His sig says Evan should go to jail, is this guy really that thick? If I was this guy I'd be trying to draw the least amount of attention to myself and keep my dumb mouth shut. What a fucking tool. I'll be waiting for the "blah blah blah attack-the-attacker blah blah blah" post. You're still a fucking tool and you know it. Everyone should take everything you say with a grain of salt.
Knowing fashhast's story, why isn't he working 24/7 to return the actual funds taken directly from investors instead of continuing to lie to everyone? I must admit, he's been on my ignore list for a long time but I did follow that link and it DOES appear that it's him. Can't wait to read about his indictment.

Interesting comparison. Once the 1MB limit is reached, would the blockchain size increase not be more linear thereafter? Yes, limited to 1 megabytes, the size increase would be forced to go into a straight line but does not allow for any more growth and would effectively cap the upper number of transactions at around 250,000 per day. https://blockchain.info/charts/avg-block-sizeAssuming a linear growth, 1 megabyte upper limit is roughly a year away, I heard Gavin Andresen proposes increasing the blocksize, is there any alternative apart from shortening the path between the start and destination addresses to save memory? Can only see this getting worse at an accelerating pace if bitcoin catches on with the masses.

3, 2, 1 So are you the one who dump 82 BTC value Monero to buy more Dash? Yeah, and he made sure to take screenshots. What a tool Hey, cheap coins. You should be rejoicing. If it was good value at 0.0043, its great value at 0.002. Nom, nom, nom, nom. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMWi7CLoZ2Q

3, 2, 1 So are you the one who dump 82 BTC value Monero to buy more Dash? Well this is your last chance to dump your DASH to OTOH, he is very likely out of BTC so once he spends these 80 for which he sold his monero hedge no one else will support the price. Good luck kids!
