Page 5000 attack is underway.

Must be that scam mined, centralised webwallet, 5k bot infested, Block 202612 centralised checkpointed, devs only copy / paste, trollero pack hunting, we're trying to jack up the price before zerocash makes us obsolete coin lot over here again.

I spotted a proud Monero wallet holder going for a leisurely ride today  Grin
Is he having engine problems or merely short on wood to burn ?

Hey, I object!!!!

There is NO monero bagholder that is cool enough to have a steam bike, That's just beyond cool!  I'm in awe!

Cool on the outside to some but depends how quickly you want to get there, if you're going coast to coast across Canada for example, you may want to arrive before the New Horizons probe gets to Pluto for sight seeing (e.g. 9 years)

Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release.
Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5%
Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1)  = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

Have some wine before testing for added fun, after all you can't lose any coins in testnet if you get a bit too tipsy, just confirm the wallet has testnet written at the top and is orange in colour before flinging out thousands to everybody Grin

Funny that your obsession for truth is limited to Dash. You simply want to throw mud on a fearsome competitor and increase the value of your coin. You don't care about anybody but yourself, stop the hero act.

I don't single out Dash, it just happens to be one that I don't like the history of one bit. I've also criticized other coins, especially IPO/ICO coins, and coins that hype on the basis of "star" developers with little to no relevant and/or verifiable qualifications, and other scammish practices in the crypto space. I warned people to get the hell out of MtGox before it collapsed because it was clear to me even before the malleability nonsense that it was a ponzi-ish scam, warned about various craigslist and localbitcoins scams, and others. Sorry if that ruins your narrative of "he just spews hate on us because Monero" but that's reality. Don't feel so special.

There was nothing wrong with the history of Monero. It's one of if not the cleanest coins and launches in history. In reality the only ones who criticize it are Dash supporters defensively lashing out at anything they can because they don't like their history being put under the microscope. Even people like BlockaFett who have bothered to actually look into it have recognized that it isn't a scam. He still doesn't like how we dislike and criticize Dash, but that doesn't make Monero a scam.

The miner crap you keep bringing up didn't matter at all. Everyone who wanted to mine could not only mine on their own computers easily enough but could pay for cloud mining and still mine at a profit. You could mine as much as you wanted and get as many coins as you wanted. The only real difference was that the people with the optimized miners had lower costs so their profit was higher (they still paid a lot though). There was effectively zero instamine (better than even most other honestly-launched coins with slowly difficulty adjustment). Access to coins or mining was not limited in any way whatsoever.

Smooth brings facts and a rational argument to the table and you guys hit back with Ad hominem?

How about showing how 1.5 million DASH were not mined in <1 day.

By the way... I like Monero, but I am no Monero shill.  I have also owned DRK in the past, and have traded it recently.  But I am astonished more of you don't recognize how big a problem the instamine is.

No its not. First of all Evan made a series of deceptive and misleading statements that drove outsiders away from mining the launch. In fact a huge portion of the coins were already mined before the time he said he was going to launch it. Insiders -- himself at the very least if not others -- certainly knew better what was going on.

And Xcoin did have a instamine, meaning the coins were mined extremely fast (i.e. many within an hour). Meaning you would have had to have been an insider or extremely lucky to participate. That is not a healthy or above-board way to launch a coin.

Neither of these things happened with Monero (although again, Monero is not relevant to this discussion at all, it is only brought up as defensive deflection and misdirection).

Yeah the point is that its an instamine. I supported the case for that on the coinmarketcap thread and I got attacked for it here, just as cAPSLOCK said.

Smooth speaks the truth?

-snip-
I don't agree that a few percent of the coins mined by someone who optimized the miner is  "significantly" instamined or premined. If we restrict it to the period before the obviously deliberate de-optimization was remove then it is probably 1% or less.

Yes, I guess you are right. But wait, maybe its more than that.

....
If you want to express the effect of the deliberately de-optimized miner in terms of the current supply of monero it would be around 2.5x (roughly 1/2.5 of the nominal total coin supply currently exists), so probably <2.5%.

If you want to express the effect of some people optimizing miners better than others, that might be as much as 12.5% or more if you consider that it goes on forever (for every coin, nothing special about Monero).

Monero scam launch code doesn't equal instamine, apparently. So 1m instamined Monero coins is ok. No scams in Monero launch  Undecided

Hypocrisy needs to be added to the Trollero 'dev' cv.

Ok... Once again... For all you sleeping at the wheel. Nice and slow... For you slower ones out there.   Immediately    Once it was known that there were issues, Evan immediately asked wither we should do a relaunch or burn the coins... It was put to a vote and The community, I know this doesn't mean shit to smoothie, voted to forget and move on.

Those are the facts. Anything else is lies!  I was there... I don't remember seeing any of you butthurts there.

Oh my gosh. If we were pack hunting, like the Trolleros, someone would post this on coinmarketcap and say - hey, the Scam mined Monero 'dev' admitted that Monero code was deliberately deoptimised causing an instamine / premine that scammed legitimate miners out of 1m coins.

As Monero is so 'anon', these coins are probably hidden from everyone waiting to be dumped on all the suckers monero trolls can sucker into their big fat scam fest.
