Sgminer isn't working properly. RPM/temps/hashrates are bouncing all over the place, WU is 0 and accepted 0 as well... 5 MH/s on the miner and on the pool as well. Any idea what might be causing this? Using the example-280x .bat as is, with worker/user/pass configured of course.
Update: I got 3 280x Powercolor cards, seeing 5.1 MH/s on the miner but the HR on the pool is fluctuating a lot.
It's a crude conversion of normal sgminer just so that it can play with the darkcoin hashing algorithms. The conversion apparently produced quite a few bugs especially in the reporting aspect of the program ("null", "0" difficulty, no A: diff etc). So you are not doing something wrong, it's just the way the program works. Thanks Alex! That's a relief. Just one other question - my DRKs have been unconfirmed on the main pool for about an hour. I know it needs 120 confirmations, but how long does that normally take? I would estimate around 5 hours based on 120 blocks x 2.5minutes = 300minutes.

I stopped last night. CPU mining is just too hard. I was only averaging about 2-3 coins a day for the past few days. Will hop back on DRK when my GPU miner arrives. =)

Speculation in general and let alone on altcoins is a gamble in the extreme. I always suggest you find a coin you really like and stick with it for a long while, until you can buy something worthwhile with it. If you don't believe the coin has potential, no one else probably does either, and than it's just finding a greater fool. Chances are you're it. Prepare to lose your money and try to have fun with it.

50% of coins that are currently in existence were mined in the first 12 hours. The other 50% in the next 30 days.
Isn't that, like, crazy instamining?!?

I'm getting about 2300-2400 with my 2 290Xs and 1500 with my 7950. I agree that it is unfortunate that the WU numbers don't update, just have to hope that it is working properly to the pool.

I added the keyhole because there are sort of two ways to view the anonymity of darkcoin: as a mask for nefarious purposes, or as a secure protection of privacy. I think it's one of the subtleties of brand perception that's super important, especially considering the kind of angle the mainstream press will take on us if we get that big. You've gotta think about a lot of stuff when you design your logo, it's not just aesthetics. People make snap judgements on superficialities so you have to pay attention to them.

What's going on with difficulty? It spiked to 370 and is now at 117? It was stable at 140 last night...

Because miners are doing something else than mining darkcoin
