Darkcoin made quite the splash when it was introduced to the public. The creators crafted darkcoin to have all the qualities that make bitcoin great, but with added functionality as a truly anonymous digital currency. Their hope is for darkcoin to become as ubiquitous as bitcoin, but to make sure that any and all transactions on the darkcoin blockchain can remain completely anonymous along the way.

If bitcoin is the Google of digital currencies, then darkcoin is certainly the Apple amongst its peers. Apple is notoriously opaque in their business operations, preferring to keep important decisions behind closed doors.

The have only just finished the code to do USD, so yes.

Hopefully it won't be too long before we have a Euro and Yuan to DRK option. No more caring about BTC.

Yes, we have. But the bter.com is just a small exchange in Chinese Crypto Currency market. it's not on the same level compare with OKcoin or Huobi. That means most of the Chinese people haven't join the DRK right now.

I think these coins are all good advertisement for Darkcoin, kinda like all the alts slugging it out with each other actually is a good ad for Bitcoin. There is a good wall of shame post being developed with known scams listed on them. Oddly enough the fingers that point to Darkcoin at any given chance are not to be found in these discussions.

Some stunning scams are being pulled off on a daily basis in the alt section. The most impressive one I have come across is ShareXcoin/Sharecoin. Some guys are making a lot of BTCs at the expense of newbies.
