Remember those Toyota commercials that said "Why buy something that compares itself to a Camry, when you can just buy a Camry?"

Why buy something that copies/claims/promises/paradigms/teleports/buttwhacks/pretends/imitates (poorly) DRK, when you can just buy DRK?

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I always preferred the VW "Unpimp ze auto" commercials tho... Unpimp ze shitcoinz.

It's a valid point.

People who keep referring to it as "an implementation of CoinJoin" are just trolls dredging up the name of something that doesn't work in an effort to undermine DRK. Then the more blatant ones that say "failure of the masternodes..." And various other invented FUD that never happened and isn't true... They're preying on misunderstanding. This is not new. But...

It's not CoinJoin. Not even close.

MasterNodes have never "failed." I can't figure out where that wild heap of bullshit even came from. It's just a flat-out fucking lie and the entity publishing it is a blatant fraud. And MasterNodes are centralized? Pseudo-centralized? Same fraudulent lies. They're no more centralized than GPU miners' GPUs. If MNs are "centralized" the mining pools are a much worse version of it... Fucking bullshit, and the publishers of these statements are human trash.

Just one more reason to give it a name that actually describes it... By it's very name, DarkSend is feeding the trolls exactly what they need to undermine it.

Liars, Idiots, and Trolls have blogs, too...

Why you guy are so scared ? Little price drop huh ? Lets talk price right now.
What are your predictions ?
Le me tellyou mine :
Two weeks after RC5 one DRK is going to cost 0.045 BTCand rising !

I don't see how RC5 is going to drive the price up. Unless some big holders stop dumping their coins the bearish trend will continue.

RC5 will mean DarkSend+ is open source and then the marketing will commence... Or soon after that anyway...

Nobody trust close source . RC5 and the open source is going to be the start of the race !

I'm thinking about opening the source at release of RC5. I've actually been having various close friends of mine look at the source and no one sees anything seriously wrong with it besides some organizational issues (which I'm working on now). I believe we're ready to go.

So we are open source on Monday, aswell as enforcement right?
Does it say that?

Who's "we?" Got a turd in your pocket?

I've never read that RC5 == Open Source == Enforcement. Only that they could happen in close temporal proximity. If I am incorrect, I welcome the pimp hand of fact-I-lack.

I'm just trying to head off any FUDders that try to claim RC5 isn't as advertised if/when the false assertions/presumptions come to view.

I also saw that Evan was testing enforcement out on test net...

Am i fudding? I thought it was a legitimate question

Am i fudding? I thought it was a legitimate question
So why did MasterNodes fail? How come DarkSend is just a fancy name for CoinJoin? Why is DRK insta-mined? Why is Evan cashing out? When will the NSA stop running all the MasterNodes? How come everyone lost all their DRKs? Do you think DRK can recover from the closed-source backdoors that Evan put in there to steal everyone's coins? Do you thin this coin will survive the MN tax? Does your father know you're gay?

They're all legit questions, right?

No one ever said RC5 was simultaneously Open Source and also Enforcement. It wasn't even mentioned in the announcement. Why attach it? Announcement add-on troll attempting to make a false association to then later attack as a failure-to-deliver something that was never announced and never promised in the first place... Rumor starter. FUD.

Mark my words, because of bullshit like this, post-RC5:

"Failed to deliver Open Source as promised."

"Failed to deliver Enforcement as promised."

"Failed to deliver Intapayments as promised."

None of this was ever promised for RC5. It might get included. Maybe. But very, very unlikely and nobody ever said it would be.

It has been stated that the RC5 client MAY be the release that gets Open Sourced, but nobody said it would happen upon the moment of it's release. Enforcement capability has been included since, what, RC3? Doesn't mean it will be used, and I haven't even seen one word saying that it would happen upon release of RC5, so to even ask such a stupid question is obvious trolling. There was never any hint of a reason to think it, so why ask? Instapayments were only recently dreamed-up and might be part of RC6, maybe, possibly.

Actually, Evan did say in the testing thread that the enforcement code would be released with RC5 and that he anticipated giving pool operators a couple of weeks before activating the spork.

But not in the Pimp Hand/Spork sense. It's just a version number reject. If the same code release is Open Sourced, anyone can edit the version number on an older protocol, copypaste, and dodge it. Not really enforcement IMNSHO.

Until the work proof becomes a true hybrid instead of an independent stratum hack, there really is no enforcement. It won't be fundamentally incompatible with previous versions until then. There could be a strategic reason for deliberately not doing this...

Just one more reason to give it a name that actually describes it... By it's very name, DarkSend is feeding the trolls exactly what they need to undermine it.

I disagree. I'm sure many on here have read your passionate argument for changing the name of DarkSend because you feel it doesn't describe what it actually is and does, however, to then make a jump to a conclusion that the name DarkSend is feeding trolls is a conclusion I don't think is correct or provable.

I think the name DarkSend is perfectly valid, has been in use for a considerable period of time now (in the scheme of things) and, to me, conveys exactly what this is all about. It's for sending money "darkly", invisibly, anonymously, privately. The fact that there are some steps to achieving the goal of sending money "darkly" (i.e. you mix first then choose to use those coins later when you want to make an anonymous payment) I think is irrelevant. DarkSend covers the whole ground of what DarkCoin is about and what it offers. I honestly think you're bringing confusion and doubt into the discussion because you're so besotted on the need for DarkSend's name to be changed to attempt to explain the mixing process followed by the send process but it's just not necessary Camo. We all understand what you're getting at but it's a brand name, it doesn't have to explain itself to a specific level of function and process any more than Apple had to initially explain that iTunes was not a collection of midi files of your favourite pieces of recorded music, it's actually the music in MP3 and covers everything from pop music to classical to audio podcasts; a whole lot more than "tunes".

Many people on here have said this (DarkSend name change) needs to be dropped but you're now pushing a continual line that it's a big problem and FUDers are going to leverage off it. I really think you need to consider what your true motive is and why you just can't accept what the majority think is the best course of action. Is it because you're just "so much more intelligent" than the majority? You bring many good points to this discussion but you're also one of the most obnoxious self-centred arrogant and pig-headed individuals on this thread. On this DarkSend naming question, I think you need to hold your tongue.
