How profitable is it to run a masternode? What's the lowest requirements for the hardware?

1000DRK needed, earnings are: ((576 blocks/day divided by number of masternodes) * 20% of block reward)  so appx 0.6DRK/day currently ~ 22% annual return.

Not trying to one-up, but to give people an idea of ways to get DRK.

I'm pulling about 9DRK/day on xpool with my upclocked Neptune. It doesn't add hashpower to the network, but it does take a few coins out of supply. Also, the machine is pretty much worthless for mining bitcoin, so this extends it's life and earns me a coin that, personally, I feel is the only one worth having; DRK. As a few more people with ~TH worth of power have come over to xpool, the admin has added a few more profitable coins now that we have the THs to actually pull blocks off of them. In the last two weeks, instead of having output go down ad diffs go up, I've actually pulled about a 50% increase in coin profit. Where else do you mine MORE as time goes on? I even have my son running my old BFL 30GH/s unit on it. More haspower == admin adds more profitable coins == make more DRK per hash the more people show up.

If you've got an FPG or ASIC for any algo, point it at xpool.ca and get DRKs.

You actually CAN still mine DRK. MNs are not the only way. For me, mining DRK is still more than an order of magnitude more profitable than an MN.

Yup. Slightly upclocked. Mine push 3.3 to 3.5 TH/s @ 1480W

Will be adding a couple more SHA coins tonight since the rate has been higher and consistent for a few days now.

Not every wallet. They need to have incoming port open. For example, I couldn't run that on my home PC. No coins required to run a node allows someone with a bot net to control 99% of the nodes.

I've already done the math. No, I wouldn't.

Worse, as BTC diff skyrockets, payout drops. These other coins don't follow that trend. Diff is jumping almost 30% every 2 weeks, but hashrate increases so much, the usual 2 week interval is falling to around 10 days.

If I had spent that time mining BTC, I would not have just paid the electricity costs. As it is, I made electricity cost and then some in one week on xpool.ca, the rest of the month is gravy. - Kinda a big difference.

Not that I care. I don't mine for today's profit. The electric company is just a vastly superior version of coinbase.

I have tried as well to send three private transactions and all failed, 2 of 10 xcs and 1 of 1 xc.

im in latest version port is open and 1 checked box in coin control...I got just one transaction in this wallet anyway so there was just one imput already.

Is it possible that if there is none forwarding private transactions while im doing it, with this revision, the transaction does not go trough the Xmixers anyway?

By our legal system, a plea is declaration of one's course on choosing to argue against the prosecution, or not. When one stands accused by the guvthugs in their corrupt and rigged courtrooms, you can "plead" guilty, not guilty, or no contest.

If you have not given up your 4th and 5th Amendment Rights, then the arrogance and stupidity of the cops usually gets you out of any and all evidence they may have found while violating said rights. If you blabbed or gave them consent to search, there's nothing you can do no matter how sloppy they may have been.

Not that these rules are followed much in the last 15 years or so. Usually the court proceedings are just a formality to make the pre-determined conclusions seem as though a legal process were involved. Most court proceedings are no longer public, juries are falsely advised by judges usurping power, laws are just plain made up on the spot based on political agenda, and physical evidence is not even considered when it contradicts the lies of cops. Generally, you never make it to a courtroom, the cops just kill everyone present and make up whatever story they want.

DRK keeps the "follow the money" approach from being possible for them in their fabrications. You'll find that 'follow the money' is how they do 99% of their dirty work. Pretty much anyone who ever made a bank deposit or withdrawal is automatically guilty by the means they've expanded the idea of monetary evidence. They can convict you of pretty much anything they want, even if there is no evidence of a crime, just by getting a copy of your bank records and saying "Look, money! This person is a drug dealer/was paid to be a hitman/is a prostitue/child porn." Petty much anything they want. IF they can show money went in or our of your bank account, they can manufacture a reason with no evidence of any kind, and it's considered proof just because the prosecutor said it. People have been convicted of murder with no body, no dead person, no evidence of any kind other than the prosecutor's assertion that the bank statement was hitman payment.

DRK takes away their ability to see your money, so they can't do that anymore.

But it's a coinjoin killah! Seriously, I tried the wallet back at 2.47h and it didn't work. In Dan's defense, he tried to webex to figure it out but with 4 (or was it 5) attempts and no dice, I got out.

DRK works and I have verified that it works. Even at 2 rounds I wasn't able to detect the original sending address even knowing where the funds originally came from. Bugs are squashed promptly and there is too much good news on the pipeline to even think about selling--Atlas' code review verdict, instant transactions, open source, foundation mandates, electrum wallet and other mobile wallets, etc, etc

The biggest thing DRK's supporters wanted was that the source was clean and that the privacy features work. Anyone not looking at the larger picture is missing what could be one of the greatest investment opportunities since those that took a shot at BTC in the beginning. It has been a long and bumpy road but looking back at all the changes and where we are at today, DRK has accomplished a lot in 8 months.

IMO, the line was crossed when placing Darkcoin in official PR material.
