Sigh - I cannot wait until Evan activates enforcement. I see this as such a huge step in the DRK journey....

I have lost 5+ MN payments in the past 2 days from fucking non compliant pools...If I was Evan I would do it right now - not sure why the hesitation?Huh?

Just owned my masternode for a little over a month. Still learning the basics...
Are coinkingio, nicehash, darkcoinbox.ru non compliant pools? Kinda looks like I got screwed too if so.

There has been a lot of talk about incentives for MN owners, I would like to see some action.
Enforcement please...

Yes, but Nicehash is a proxy for renters so it's not their fault: https://drk.mn/blocks.html

So someone will continue to be unlucky with nicehash even after enforcement?

X11 Mining Optimisation Project

Hi all, I've been in discussions with a couple of very talented OpenCL (AMD) and Cuda (Nvidia) developers who both think there are decent optimisations to be had from spending some time on existing mining software.

Both have done similar projects for other coins, and, lets just say there was a large gap in the reward vs effort spent on these optimisations.  There was a bit of reluctance from both developers to spend huge amounts of time on this.

So I thought about a crowd funding exercise, similar to the way we've funded other projects which have been of benefit to the DRK community.

How many of you would be interested in showing a little support with some DRK, along side myself, to give a nice boost to both AMD and Nvidia mining for x11?  In a similar fashion to the Kristov Atlas review, the more we can raise, the more time can be spent on this exercise.

Nothing formal has been set-up at this stage, I'm really just gauging people's appetites for improvements on the mining software, if we all think this is a good idea I'll set-up an address and we can get the ball rolling.

 Smiley

Perhaps CPU optimization should also be allocated some funds. I remember there were significant gains from version to version until the GPU client came out and CPU work essentially stopped.

I know, just going by their response when messaged about complying. It's only a matter of time before these pools get orphans anyway. I'm one of the largest advocates of flipping enforcement on early.

No, when enforcement happens, any pool not on RC5 and not paying out 20% (or whatever the going MN rate is at the time) will get only orphaned blocks.

All this talk of mining makes me want to see what I can do with my computer.

AMD FX 9590 Eight Core 4.7ghz 16GB RAM

Any nice people out there want to give advice on what I could do with this cpu and gpu? Could I actually get a worthwhile amount? Also just want to add hash I think it's called?

About once every 6 blue moons, if you're lucky. If you CPU mine you're better off joining a CPU pool, if any still exist, or p2pool.

Are there any true CPU only coins out there apart from the CN clones? I was looking on ebay and you can get complete 24-core servers for the cost of a single GPU. I don't fancy cooking my laptop in exchange for peanuts.  Undecided

The latest shift for the Darkcoin Multipool paid out over 100 DRK.

Cheers!

Pointed a few rented S3 Antminers your way. They are costing me £12.44 each a week, if they make more than £12.44 worth of DRK I'll be pointing more.  Or buying some ASICs of my own.  Smiley

Hey, thanks! I hope they do too! I've got my 2 S1's on there now for many weeks!

ZPOOL - the miners multipool! Support We pay 10 FLUX Parallel Assets (PA) directly to block rewards! Get paid more and faster. No PA fee's or waiting around for them, paid instantly on every block found!
