Most of the volume Mintpal ever had was generated by their own bots. They sold up either because they had fucked up and realised they couldn't cover their short trades, or there simply wasn't enough profit left for them in it. Credit where it's due, they may have been crooked, but they weren't idiots. Along comes an idiot: Alex@Moolah. Just as crooked, but not nearly as smart. Buys Mintpal for a hefty chunk, too stupid to see that all that volume was imaginary, and doesn't have the team to run it, at all as it turns out, never mind with the profits the previous crooks were raking in by shorting every dunce who left a balance on there, with their own money. Hilarity ensues. Yes, you were all dunces, anyone with one eyeball and two brain cells could see the Mintpal bot legions at work, bleeding fiat out of your crypto, and not only did you dunces get what you deserved, the rest of us saw our holdings decrease in value too. So fuck you. Silver lining - DRK is clearly the cryptocurrency of choice for criminals. Can't get a better recommendation than that.

I'm so glad I removed all my drk from shitpal before that whole fiasco. I can't say I'm not surprised to hear moolah is shutting down and I remember reading in this thread that someone predicted this happeneing the day v2 launched and went to crap. I wonder how or if they will repay those who will have lost accounts who still can't recover there coins.

Whoever coined MintGox, that was absolutely prophetic! Just assume the coins are gone. sont u think guys someone has darksended the coins from mintgox and now dumping all? Just the idea... Need to deposit some fiat to buy btc --» drk at these prices. The dump is probably ongoing. Just look at that wad of 280,000 Darkcoins rolling along on the blockchain. Every now and then some coins go to known Cryptsy and Poloniex addresses. Polo example here: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/block.dws?152285.htmCryptsy example here: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/block.dws?152286.htmEdit found a Bittrex transfer here: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/block.dws?152376.htmSo yeah, the selling pressure is likely to continue for a while. Get your BTC ready.

I'm not advocating anything, but I think that's exactly what we're seeing. Let's face it, DRK is the right tool for the job. Buy it cheap while you can.

Get your BTC ready. MNs seeing extra business? I haven't seen use of Darksend yet. Mr. 280K Whale has made a number of addresses with untouched DRK that could be used for Darksend in the future. For now, some coins go to exchanges, others to fresh addresses, but ALWAYS that 280k stash is slowly melting. Perhaps most importantly, that 280k is always on the move.

Most likely stolen. Just check out the behavior. Always moving the stash to a new address and slowly draining to exchanges and fresh addresses. It looks scripted to run 24/7. Here is where funds are currently parked: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/address.dws?XpE6Yfhd3detzyRpL7YQiGBjRLzHBhrKKY.htmSo now you can follow along until he wises up and Darksends them.

Some exchanges tend to slow you down if you try to move a lot of coins, so they can do some extra checks. Wonder why these coins are moving around so freely

I'm still unable to access my Mintpal account. I've sent in a ticket over 24 hours ago asking them to disable the broken two factor but haven't received a response as of yet.
Just sent them another email. I really feel like I'm about to be Goxxed.
Funny thing is, if you reset your password, it lets you temporarily bypass the two factor authentication accessing your account but you are still unable to turn it off.
As of now, I have my funds being held in their exchange with no means of withdrawing them. I should of taken everything off that exchange when I had the chance...
My issue exactly. No response in two days from support other than to ask for my e-mail, which was on the screenshot I sent with my original request. "I'm on the klist to have 2Fa removed." I'd imagine they're swamped with requests at the moment. Success! I did what you tried and was able to complete a withdraw with only my new password. I left them .00000002 Thanks for the idea! Thanks to Gox I did not let it happen again. Like others have said...get ready for the ride!
