I had 0.04 BTC in my mintpal account and it pisses me off.  I can only feel for those who lost proper sums.

If you didn't watch Antonopolous addressing the Canadian senate on the need for legislation to cover any point where centralisation occurs, then try to take the time to do so.

I had 8 BTC in Mintpal V1 5 seconds from buying MNs when it was taken down instantaneously with no email warning, message on website or Mintpal twitter, then 2 weeks of sending emails, support tickets even legal threats and not 1 single response and no sign of the coins. And no I don't 'keep coins on the exchange' only when I buy stuff I will shoot anyone who comes and says that now LOL.

i got all my coins out as fast as the site was up,no problems.
After this anouncement i have learn my lesson, never hold coins on an exchange when you dont trade!
I wich there was a way that your wallet was synced with an acount on an exchange and trade direclty from your wallet instead of an seperate wallet on an account controlled by the exchange, that way we dont have to be afraid to loose any coins when shit happens on the exchange. Sad

My god i feel sad for all those people that still had coins @ Mintpal and could not acces it Sad

Yeh I suspect the 10% of accounts that 'couldn't import' were the ones with substantial balances in like mine.  Then there were enough tweets from people with small balances getting their coins back to cover their tracks.

Basically an 'incompetence scam' and bye bye a shit load of coins to Alex Green's pocket.

Sorry to hear that.  For what is worth, I wonder if there is any way we can link him to some of the DRK dumping that has been happening?  How are the mintpal wallets looking?

Thanks, at least now I can write it off instead of holding out any hope of getting the BTC back.

Alarm bells started going off for me when the largest aggregated DRK wallet that held 430k DRK disappeared from the rich list https://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/#!wallets

So if anyone is wondering who sciencerocket was and since he went AWOL after I called him out, who the guy dumping batches of 10k DRK on Cryptsy the last week, take a wild guess.

Yeah, even though he would have had to have verified with Cryptsy he was bound to have got somebody else to do it for him.  Might be worth a shot in the dark though.  Thieves can become arrogant.

You're right.  Should be a criminal investigation now as to what really went on.  Anyone who had coins in there now Mintpals gone down again (due to the 'critical bug' lol), say hello to weeks of cat & mouse charade waiting for the new owners to get their coins back.

If i remember the same time Mintpal goes offline, BTC tanked to 280$.

How can crypto survive on these scams. I had 96 DRK left on Mint but was able to
send them to my wallet after they came back, but i lost minimum 12000 VTC.

Can someone sum up what's the number of totaly lost DRK ( and maybe sold for BTC )
On this scam?

I started a thread about the Moolah / Mintpal debacle - if you lost funds or have any further info, please say so here so we can start to take action:

I'll pay 50DRK from the bounty fund for a cold/hot remote setup video from scratch  Grin
Someone could just follow this: https://darkcointalk.org/threads/remote-masternode-guide-updated.410
Edit: If more than one video claims the DRK, I'll pick the best quality one.

Looks like I'm the lucky winner!
I'll be happy to donate the 50DRK to a worthwhile cause.

Bump, I've seen a lot of these hitler videos, this one is great.

And people were so happy about trading drk and shitcoins at very reasonable prices on that failed exchange. Told them in the IRC channel that trading DRK on Mintpal was like buying BTC for $100 from MtGOX in February.

"MintPal is currently down for urgent bug fixes, and is additionally moving to new management (away from Moopay LTD). A statement will follow shortly."...

This is getting embarassing, for Crypto in general...

Where is the f*cking dumper? - lots of people put their BTCs on exchanges and desperately waiting for cheap Darkcoins... Come on, don’t make guys nervous - it's not safe to keep lots of BTCs for long period on exchanges these days… ! Smiley

Or show is over and we already have to go back to un-manipulated current real price 0.009?  Undecided

The problem with liquidity = ease of price manipulation. And we can’t expect liquidity on exchanges with all these *Goxes Sad

IMO  to stabilize liquidity and price Darkcoin needs decentralized reliable exchange. It will be great to «invent» 2-currency wallet (BTC+DRK) with Masternodes based Exchange and mixing imbedded in it.

And I hope such a wallet will be most popular not only among Darkcoin users - but finally will become most popular Bitcoin’s wallet also!  Roll Eyes
