Sorry guys maybe is a stupid question but i downloaded the wallet 0.10.14.1 and put my darks in then i encrypted it, now everytime i start the wallet it says "warning there is incompatibility with RC4+ wallet due to larger keypool. it only effects encrypted wallets but can caouse a loss of data in rare situations. please create a new wallet and move the fund from this"  what to do? Rename your wallet.dat file to something else, fire up the new wallet again so it generates a new wallet.dat file, copy the new DRK address, close the wallet, rename the wallet.dat to something else, rename the first one back to wallet.dat, fire up the wallet again, send your balance to the new address, close the wallet, rename old wallet.dat again, rename the new one back to wallet.dat, fire up the wallet again, all is well. Faster to do then to type! edit: or do what innergy said, that will let you keep the existing address. Thank you innegy and thelonecrouton, but i'm asking why i downloaded a wrong wallet from the official download page? i'm not an expert so i ask you: can i send now my money to my exchange and then cancel this wallet? You didn't download a wrong wallet from the main site. Things changed from RC3 to RC4 to RC5 and for safety sake, it's smart to send all your coins from old wallet.dat files to a newly generated wallet in the latest build or dump your private keys and import into the latest wallet if you care about the address associated. I dont mean to step on any toes, just enquiring...are people involved in drk getting promo videos done? Reason I ask is that I brought it up previously and didnt get an answer (think other things happened around the same time and my post might of got lost in the traffic). It would be great if they were 100% finished intime for the Instant TX. I think this would be more powerful than any of these b-rated writeups on obscure websites that nobody has heard off. If you have an old wallet, time to make a new one and either send the funds to it or import your old wallets private key. This will make the warning prompt go away. |

Ok you're right because the wallet works fine, so, i'm not a computer expert (i work with people not with pc and i'm not english language), i do this way: i just sent 1 dark to my exchange and works, i'll send the others than i erase everything wallet.dat too and put a new one, however for you this problems are simple for me and maaany other people not so i hope a future more user friendly for dark and all other cryptos, i think is one of the key for adoption. Not sure if you saw my original post, but I like the way Tor was currently being promoted and feel its something Dark should consider.
