Paid b Western Union for LA6M on Monday. Money arrived in China instantly. (faster than 6 btc confirmations)

Product was shipped Wednesday.

Arrives 2pm Friday.

I've ordered shit from Amazon that has taken longer and was more complicated. Very happy with this total process so farGrin

This shows the level of organization that they have...people that ordered well after myself and others are receiving their product, yet I can't get a straight answer out of them.  What's odd is I think most that still waiting paid via.BTC. Huh

He stopped answering to my pms after I asked for my BTC refund.
Did any of you that paid in BTC after Feb11 receive their unit so far? Cause it might be the  BTC orders being  scammed not the others.

Let's make a list and see those paid in BTC and didn't receive it yet:

1.juve4v - paid on Feb 11 status: no unit, no tracking no  reply from Jack at the request for a refund!

Anyone that received these.  Did they come from Hong Kong or mainland China?

Sender address on mine was:

Shenzhen
4-Floor Xiangge Xixiang
518038 (zip code)

So that would be mainland china I guess.
DHL?

Let me make it clear I don't think he has scammed us, people are receiving product, some that have paid with btc.  I think his operation is just a little disorganized and has not kept with shipping in the order that people paid.

Jack is 100% legit.  They have been crazy busy due to a tremendous response to their offer.  They haven't really worked out a good process for shipping/notifying/ordering yet, as they were more focused on getting these things in our hands than anything else.  Our order was messed up (missing 4 boxes) and Jack has been very responsive and now more are on their way. I have a few (3) LA3M units out of the next batch that are available.  We are asking $2899/unit shipped Priority Mail *USA ONLY*, please send a PM if you are interested.

If he's 100% legit as you claim why did he stop answering to any of my pms after I asked for BTC refund? It takes 1 min to check and refund.
My list is open for those who paid in BTC and didn't get their unit .

2. ethought - paid on Feb 11 with BTC (Jack confirmed payment received) - no unit, no tracking, last few days no return of emails.

I am not panicking yet, but a little annoyed people that paid after my order was paid have already received their unit and jack cannot even provide me with a decent email response or a tracking number.

Edit: I don't want a refund either - I just want my units..  Sad

Ask again, I ordered about same time - took some time... tracking shows that packet should be here tomorrow!
So, I trust that you will also get what you ordered. They seems to me just extremely busy with all the orders.

Ordered them, paid with BTC, got them 13 days later, work like a charm.
Getting around 300Kh on Scrypt.

Any ideas on how to over clock?

Have a look on the first post from Jack in this thread, there you will see the image of the controller-Software (first Image). In this webform, you will see on the right side the "core frequency".

600MHz is Default! the most user use 750MHz.

I paid with BTC on Feb 11th.

I sent the email to Angela when Jack posted here with the address.

I sent a follow up email requesting an update, and I have been given a DHL tracking number.  The package shipped from SHENZHEN - CHINA, PEOPLES REPUBLIC, and is now in the USA.

First impressions of the 2x LA3M i received 24 hours ago:

+ve

Very robust packaging - these are very unlikely to be damaged in transit.

Pretty easy to wire up if you have a basic understanding of wiring or are smart enough to follow the instructions on the forum.

Speed is as advertised - mine are both around 3.1 MH/s when they are running well

-ve

BUT - they dont really run well. They constantly restart themselves, around every 15 to 20 minutes. Each time they reset they take a while to spin up again, reducing the average hash rate considerably (around 20-25% after adjusting for stales)

Very very unstable - perhaps it is the miners, perhaps it is the controller software. But the long and short of it is, these need babysitting so you had better plan on having them somewhere where you can power cycle them regularly - or invest in an internet connected power supply - they are a long long way away from 'set-and-forget'.

Both of my units stopped hashing during the night while i was asleep - mined for 4 hours, idle for 4 hours.
I power cycled them and got them running again once i woke up - running for about an hour at 2.6MH/s each before i left for work.

They mined for 3 hours and now they are hung up again - the soft reboot won't work to get them restarted and unfortunately I am not there to do it nor do I have a 'helper hand' at home. So looks like another 6 or 7 hours of wasted mining time...

If anyone is considering buying these and calculating a 5 month ROI - please be aware that they are not mining at advertised speeds for most of the time. They reboot themselves minimum 3 times per hour, reducing the hourly hash rate by approximately 20-25% while they get back up to speed each time. They will also hang up without any apparent reason and stop mining altogether and require a full power cycle (switch all off, then switch on controller first, wait 1 minute, turn on PSUs, then turn on USB hub).

You should also be aware that Jack's 'Secret photo' showing 5MH/s rate is not what you are buying at all. Until it is proven otherwise, that screenshot is bullshit. Don't bank on it.

Hopefully there will be a controller firmware update soon to improve this - i am not very impressed with the product or the 'service' Jack has been providing.

Right now i am seriously considering buying two of the Gridseed wiibox controllers to replace these buggy Lightning ASIC controllers and see if that makes a difference

As always YMMV

EDIT: Miners are a lot more stable after 36 hours - looks like they need some time to burn in. I am getting a stable 3MH/s at the pool from both LA3M sets and the controller resets are becoming less frequent - only one per hour for the last few hours. I will update again later to comment on the hanging up issue where they stop mining altogether and need a power cycle

I will be receiving a lightning asics LA3M as well as 10 gridseed units and original wiibox controller from another supplier. I will post results from both controllers for comparison.

The stability problem stems from the fact that the controllers have only 32MB of RAM, which isn't sufficient to run 10 miners including cgminer on, it uses up all the memory and the whole system becomes sluggish and unstable. Just try connecting 5 miners and see for yourself.
