To the people with units, can you tell me what the diameter is for these units? Thinking of ways to build a case for these suckers

I found the specs and they're 95mm diameter and 70mm tall, so roughly 3.75" D x 2.75" H.

I've been looking at stackable mesh racks similar to this:  http://www.amazon.com/Fox-Run-Stackable-10-Inch-14-Inch/dp/B000QIZ1AU/

You can fit 6 miners per level and just point a box fan at them if you want additional cooling.  Perhaps not the prettiest, but would do the job, is compact and best of all, is cheap...  Smiley

if you only use them for scrypt, the heatsinks stay cold! no heat at all!

I wonder if it's possible to increase the supplied voltage to the chips (it's very likely that the input 12V is being stepped down). If they aren't generating much heat you should be able to increase the voltage a reasonable amount and bump the frequency even more.

Ruben383

i paid today (the 13th)
by PayPal

will let you know when i get conformation

Sorry, I am not sure of the PayPal policies for international transactions but I would say have a little patience. It has to take a minimum of 48 hours and up to 9 days even before the funds are available to the beneficiary. I feel as anxious as everyone else, we will be updated as soon as the funds are verified by the beneficiary.

Definitly you will be confirmed, but it can be, that we are to late with our payment. If so, we will get the payment back.

Jack and his Team have a lot to do, we must be patient. I'm sure, in two or three weeks we hold the product in our hand or we have our payment back. I hope I can hold the product in my Hands!  Grin

I wonder what people think of the following I dragged from a vertocoin thread:

"[–]D4wn0ff473 7 points 4 days ago*

First of all these asics are jokes. The hash power for both btc and ltc is not worth the price. The only thing that makes them worth the price is the 7w of power usage for 300Kh/s on solo scrypt ventures, but the 8gh/s for btc mining at 100w is not going to make a dent in the current pedohash network power. Even going after other 256 coins on the btc side would not be worth it because most of those networks are already drowning in asics and fpgas. Even if you had a a couple hundred of them you would still not be making a decent enough dent to have roi ever especially with the current price.

But alpha technologies has 5mh/s and 25mh/s scrypt asics that will be shipping in a few months. Not to mention that sluicebit has 2 and 4 mh/s scrypt fpga's that will be shipping soon. The game will soon be over for scrypt coins with no differential built in like vert does. But I really feel bad for the people who wasted and will waste their money on these asics. The company obviously saw the train coming of the larger asics and fpgas so they sped up dev to get these out as fast as possible. They will be outdated and worhtless in a few months and the owners will never have a chance to make the majority of their money back
."

Discuss.

Blackcoin ~ 10 second transactions (fastest coin) ~ 100% proof of stake (the first) ~ No wasteful mining (most efficient)
