What charitable foundations would you like to see NEM donate to?  I think it'll be fun to decide now.

I personally am a fan of charities such as Water for Kids, Build Africa or any other charity which helps out vulnerable people in third world countries, especially ones involving building projects like schools, wells etc. How cool would that be for NEM to get involved with? I think it resonates well with NEM's egalitarian ethos.

@The Development Team, what do you think about reserving a stake or 2 (maybe more?) for a charitable cause? I think that'd be really great.

While it is tempting to do so, I would prefer charity as a decentralized effort. We should be able to do it as a community.

This will definitively go against the fundamentals of equality and so against NEM !!!!

I think its fine as long as the accounts funding account doesn't have 10+ of the same transactions going to NEM. With all of them being accounts created post NEM starting date. Once you get to that point its not"fair" for all the people who have taken part in the registration process.

As Utopian stated one will be guilty until proven innocent in the case of a new account. Which I feel is completely fair.

maybe, it would be good to get somebody with an economical background (if someone of you already is, ignore this) in the developer team!
somebody who can do the maths and rough progronses (for example if we want to figure out how many fees should be forged at what amount of coins.)
this should probably not just be random intuition.

I think this would make a very convincing and holistic crypto!

Another factor that would be a major advantage in NEM compared to other altcoins would be that it would be developed with notion to real-life economic factors and realities. Someone would consider the possible effects to the value of NEM compared to other coins when implementing developments.

Another thing that would separate us from NXT and other coins is to create a strong stakeholder collaboration after the launch. This can be done by creating all stakeholders a account in the forthcoming NEM forums, simultaneously when the NEM account are given, and attach them to a stakeholder group. This stakeholder group would then suggest and vote for vouchers, promotion campaigns, developments and etc. Also it would discuss about given bounties. This will activate stakeholders and make them work for NEM more. Nobody wants another passive stakeholder community!

While I think it's an intersting idea i don't think stakeholder should be sperated rank in the new forum. I think it could make new people feel that they aren't as welcome especially since there would be so many stakeholders
I'm all with you on creating a collaboriation in generel though. This will have to come by itself though. Can't force anyone to collaborate.

I didn't mean that stakeholders would be a separated rank in the forums, just that there would be a subcategory dedicated only for stakeholders. Stakeholders would have the exactly same status in the forums than any other user, they just would have access to a subcategory that normal users would not have.

To simplify the process of accepting new account registrations, I asked every new accounts to make a short introduction post in this thread before sending the fee in. The community could ask questions but please be nice to new people of whom many are not native English speakers and also respect other's right to privacy. I am preparing NEM front site so the list update was delayed yesterday. So be patient if you sent the fee in after page 70 and did not see your accounts yet. Thanks for supporting NEM.
