This is exactly what I was looking for. This is progress. Thanks for the link, mate. -Fuse There are several smaller sites accepting it, heres a couple, both of which I've tried: http://www.venusvaporizer.com/http://pixskull.com/There just needs to be a consolidated list of places that accept it and as far as I know it doesn't exist. I'm just saying that everyone says how well this coin is doing in terms of it's goals, and I'm thinking it isn't quite as accomplished as people make it out to be.
-Fuse
You're right to say Potcoin isn't as accomplished as some people make it out to be but we are a lot farther along in 6 months then most coins. Part of the problem is, marijuana is still only legal in 2 states, which significantly impairs our market. People outside of those 2 states still buy it with cash in back alleyways. Well maybe not in California where you are but on the east coast its still very much illegal. Actually there's a bunch of dispensaries on the east coast. You can find some listed here: https://weedmaps.com/dispensaries/inThere are 22 states that have laws pertaining to the use of MMJ. There are only 2 states where it is recreationally legal. And I'm from NY originally. Many moons ago, we just used to go up to Vermont or Maine and pick it up. Hell, sometimes we'd go up to Canada as well. As long as you were under an OZ in NY, it was just a ticket. -Fuse

There are some where I don't doubt it will be illegal for another 5-10 years at least. Dispensaries on the east coast are very concentrated and almost exclusively in the north. The closest one to me is several hours away, and I live in a somewhat pro-legalization area. But in any case recreational use is far more important in terms of how it will affect the market, atleast IMO.

I think you'll win the war with the MMJ battle. When you put enough kids with disabling seizures in front of the bible-thumpers and tell them that they are cured with mmj, you'll win the bible belt. Win the bible belt on MMJ and the rest of the states will start turning recreational. Most MMJ states have decent craigslist listings for this stuff. I know I could go on craigslist right now and get anything I wanted as long as I had my card. Maybe we should just start posting craigslist postings to inform people of POT. -Fuse

Speaking of Potcoin and medical marij., would anybody be interested in buying 100% legal CBD oils with BTC? My buddy's company has a license to sell pure (not-including THC) 30% by-volume CBD oils. There are several different flavors available, and you can hit it with a vape pen. It is very nice. If you are interested in buying this, this option will be available as soon as I bring his brand new website online equipped with the "Buy with BTC" option I am going to enable. Stay in touch, peeps.

If that's the case has anybody thought of approaching craig's list vendors about Potcoin? As far as I know there is no rule against crypto currencies on Craig's List.

I heard there are a few places that never repealed prohibition, so it's still illegal to buy alcohol there. Those places should be extremely difficult to deal with.

I've strolled into a few dispensaries in California and chatted with the proprietors about potcoin. None of them had ever heard of it. They were dimly aware of bitcoin. I tried explaining why they might be interested in potcoin, but they simply pointed at their credit card machines and moved on.
Yes, potcoin has to compete with visa & mastercard in California dispensaries.
I love the idea of potcoin, but dispensary owners need to be incentive-ised to use it. Why adopt it when credit cards are here now and are what consumers use ?

No offence dude, but if you wanted to help you would convince your friend to accept potcoin if he's already accepting BTC. This is exactly the shit I'm talking about when it comes to people falling back on BTC because it's just easy or too lazy to explore potcoin's community potential.

This is true...the small, back country town I grew up in just ended their 78 year ban on alcohol. But only for certain restaurants. Still No beer/wine/liquor stores. Glad I moved away after high school
