Ethereum is not the next Bitcoin. They are complimentary. They each have its own unique functions.

I think Ethereum will have a hard time in dealng with its tarnished reputation. Something spectacular must be created and built using the platform. But the DAO was supposed to be that "something spectacular". If they attempt to start again, will the people believe and invest in it?

 Roll Eyes

if btc dumps anytime in within next 24/48hours, it will be a huge dump...40%-60% is possible...ETH will double up instantly....those that miss buying ETH now will buy dao as it will give back 10/1 ratio to ETH.  Dao has become a second chance for those that dumped ETH and miss the train when it takes off.

The bitcoin dump already happened. The bitcoin price will be around $650 for the next few weeks. Eth could also be stable.

I tend to agree with this, too.  But I expect BTC to explode by early next year.  Not because of anything it does, rather because of the USD crashing.  Yes, I guess I am a DoomTard.

I have to say as someone new to redit just recently, with what I experienced, It's a terrible place to post any opinion.

It has become quite obvious by the outcome of the vote compared to what has happened and been said their, that It has a dominant group of people that can override what most people consider correct. It has been overwhelmingly controlled to the opposite of this vote which is independent of reddit.
And to top it off, the way posts are considered worthy or unworthy is a an obvious broken system.

.................A broad overview in today’s Guardian, entitled “Blockchain: the answer to life, the universe and everything?”, did a phenomenal job of exploring how Ethereum’s blockchain - yes, a blockchain completely outside of bitter libertarian Bitcoin loyalist land - might just be able to solve many of society’s and many of the business community’s lingering problems in the years ahead..................

Pink Floyd: Blockchain technology in music could be 'truly revolutionary'

http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/pink-floyd-blockchain-technology-music-could-be-truly-revolutionary-1569649

The "Music on the blockchain" report from a research team at Middlesex University, continues a concerted effort led by musician and technologist Imogen Heap to get artists a fairer deal using blockchain designs. Heap has brought together members of the Ethereum community, ConsesnSys and a host of others at London's Sonos studios.
