( little chat elsewhere, i realised how good this is for ETH ,lol )

as far as i can remember BTC price declines really began once payment processors started dumpin btc to fiat daily for merchants that would normally have held them for longer.  check the date when Bitpay opened for business...This to me was the first of many BTC fiat leaks which led to selling pressure.
ETH is not for buying items from shops/restaurants but can be used as a currency if the businesses wants too or they could create their own Dapp & loyalty token. I hope they never use ETH as mainstream currency as this will only encourage more ETH payment processors for merchants to turn up.
Ethereum’s creators themselves don’t refer to it as a “cryptocurrency.” Ethereum is a shared computing platform, and its base unit is ether, the “cryptofuel” that powers the network: “a token whose purpose is to pay for computation, and is not intended to be used as or considered a currency, asset, share or anything else.”

also you may ask who will pay for this token computation...well in under 3months there is samsung, microsoft, unbuntu rwe,40+ banks and many more..

Technically Bitcoin is a fork and Bitcoin Cash is the original blockchain. When the hard fork occurred, people had access to the same amount of coins on Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash.- NIST

Yep. Before Ethereum they digged IBM DOS, Lotus Notes, Netscape Navigator, Novel and many many others.
And don't forget to sell all your Vitalik ethers and buy MS ethers when the right time comes.

Where is the best place to ask support or the like questions about MIST? I asked this the page before and no replies.

I am running Ethereum Wallet 0.5.2 (newest I think) Mist on Mac OSX. (Says Geth under Activity Monitor.) It catches up with the blockchain every time I start it but if I leave it open it ALWAYS falls behind.
It shows I have 8 peers. When I try to send any Ether it just hangs there and then when I exit I get a timeout error.
Is there a port that needs to be open or something? (I get peers though so it seems like it can connect.)

If this is not the place to ask, apologies in advance, just point me in the right direction please.

Thx,

honestly here is the best place to ask
theres no support, no public team, no ticket system, no live site just the placeholder they put up every 6+months with same template
no real documentaion only community stuff, and no ONE place for all those documents (maybe eth wiki?)
good luck!
and as far as your errors good luck on that, eth gives so many different errors for everyting its impossible for one straight answer to help you, but they might! haha

A two year software project and no real documentation or support...that's a little scary.
