anybody else having difficulty syncing up with blockchain?
u tried this m8
Geth 1.4.6 "EDGE" aims to solve the synchronization issues resulting from this newly found heterogeneity: it introduces a lot more download concurrency to avoid bottlenecks caused by badly connected remote machines, and also introduces adaptive quality-of-service tuning to make peer selection less aggressive for users with more restricted connectivity.

The result is a newly polished sync mechanism that can churn out a 7-8MB/s download speed in the current Ethereum main network (if your connectivity allows it), but also provide a solid and stable stream for all users, verified for as low as EDGE connections (440ms latency, 200 kbps upstream, 220kbps downstream).

https://github.com/ethereum/go-ethereum/releases/tag/v1.4.6

https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/4mtnz3/geth_146_edge_making_sync_great_again/

This sounds like a great boost in speed. I've definitely have to try the updated geth 1.4.6 later. It's so frustrating waiting a hour or two just to have the blockchain sync every time I open Mist. thanks Mrpumperitis

Poloniex added pair eth/lsk https://poloniex.com/exchange#eth_lsk
On polo very low price now right now the minimum should be 0.04 underestimated lsk.
and low 0.0005 but the truth is it was a test Administration on polo  Grin
on poloniex ETH/LSK seems many ppl interested trading there,,yeah i see wall ETh on poloniex i think is ready going to moon

It's already on the moon!  Wink

That is right, the Ethereum is around all time high now. But it could rise further when the DAO investment is successful.

Hi, I have a problem with the ethereum wallet (I tried 0.7.4, 0.7.3 and 0.6.2). When I go to "The DAO" contract and click on the "Pick a Function" dropdown, there are only the two items "Create Token Proxy" and "Vote". Shouldn't there be much more items (such as "New Proposal" or "Split DAO")?

Is this, how it should look like (Ethereum-Wallet-win64-0-7-4)? Where is, e.g., the "New Proposal" item?

There is still time to buy the Ethereum at lower than $15. If there is good developments of Eth, the price could be higher.

Where can I find a list of Ethereum based altcoins, something like that like Expance, DAO etc.
Or Announcments about them?

There are no such alts. If there is one it is as scam and heavily premined as eth itself.

Hi all fellow miners!

https://etherite.com has been operating for nearly 2 weeks now and is slowly building up a miner base and we have found 60 Blocks so far and have a transaction record of all payments made!

We are currently offering all miners that mine with us (based on address) 0% fees for life if you mine with us in the next 48 hours. A record of all miner address's will be made and those address's will never incur a pool fee forever!

We also pay all transaction fees applicable for payments. So come along try us out, give any feedback or suggestions you have and last of all mine some ETH!

Thanks
Etherite

admin@etherite.com

Its that time again fellow miners, we are running another promotion due to the amount of PM's we have received! We have expanded to over 40 Miners and are hashing away at a steady 8GH/s+.

For the next 24 hours, all miners that start mining with us will receive 0% fees forever! - Please PM us your address to ensure you are added to the list Smiley

ETH has worked extremly hard to get the status it now has...to be sitting proudly next to BTC.
no other alt comes anywhere near the amount of power behind these two, in every aspect...mining,trading,hedging, working tech etc
It has taken many yrs of dedication from a fully transparant team, trying to create something that will oneday change how we use technology.
Congratulations guys...EVERYONE

I remember when the devs delayed release of ETH because crypto was at a decline and they were afraid of a dump.  Look at alts now.

Unfortunately, what you do on this forum makes ETH sit not next to BTC but on the opposite side.

This feature can be used to quickly convert between the three options currently hosted by Jaxx – BTC, ETH, and DAO – and will also work for whatever coins and tokens we integrate in the future.

Jaxx users can open up the ShapeShift view by selecting the fox icon below the Amount bar on any wallet screen, or by entering “ShapeShift” into the Address bar. From this view, users can specify what coin/token type they would like to convert to, as well as view the current conversion rate for their selection and the minimum and maximum deposit allowed by ShapeShift. Users then simply enter the amount they want to convert (or “Shift”) in either fiat or the coin being converted and they’re good to go.
